IMO Cam Guthrie is the initiator for the Cats. He lifted in the second and so did the Cats. His brother is playing well too.

Just checked on Google. 300,000 dollars for both the spider camera and a 360 deg camera system. Surely the AFL can spare that money? Oh wait Gil MacLachlan needs his exit bonus I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

I did a quick sum this morning and I reckon the Dees v Swans game last night at about 80k grossed at least 5 million dollars in gate takings alone.

How was Elliot allowed to be so free then?

How do you kick those magnificent goals yet miss those.

Jamie Elliot missing very gettable goals is a bad sign for the pies. He's their most reliable kick for goal

Different rules different teams eh maggots?

How can Elliott, and Mihocek stuff those up ?

The Pies look spent imo. Not sure they can hang on, but I hope they do. Hatred of Geelong trumps all.

Geelong looking like Melbourne of last night. Basic skill errors and unable to execute under pressure. I sure hope it turns

Intense pressure but skills pretty poor this game. Both teams very beatable

I'm starting to feel better watching this

Collingwood will kick themselves out of the game. Terrible inside 50 kicking and terrible goal kicking.

Jeelong still aern’t taking advantage though

Looks like Sydney's flag to lose at this point.

9.20 aggregate score

Of the two we'd rather play cats or pies,  cats more predicable and easier to play against?  will cats run away like earlier in the year?

It's not a word, it's sound they make.

Their chant is the biggest [censored] in the game. Just so tiresome. Find a new one [censored].

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
