Tim Lamb says unlikely we get Hunter

So now the question is - Does he believe it or is he turning up the heat on the Doggies.

Yep, might be in our interests to wait until very late, and see just how badly the dogs want to move him on.

What picks have we got to satisfy this deal? That’s a great wing set up with Langdon.

F3 perhaps?

Man I'm sick of posters saying a deal is done when it's not.

There is a chance one side has agreed to the trade and the other side hasn't.

Sounds like something will have to fall out of the clouds for this one to get done.

Sounds like we are happy to do the trade for cheap, and maybe the Dogs are not.

Perhaps they'll cave late if they get the Lobb deal across the line?

F3 sounds about right.

If they are paying some of his salary we won’t be giving them much in the way of draft picks. Looks like final straw with Bevo and he wants him out

A 37 from Sam Weid.

Tim Lamb trade radio “we have spoken to Lachie but made no commitment. And the dogs haven’t made a commitment to let him go. In no man’s land at the moment. Unlikely to go through”

Seems at odds with what Tim Lamb said... ^^^

Sounds more to me like dogs want him out, and we are leveraging a strong position by waiting until late

Via Mitch Cleary - Hunter all chips in for a move to the Dees

Yes. This is a deal one does with 2 minutes to go

Yeh i agree, but it is a crazy time.

Where there is smoke there is fire. Not long now and we will know.

What time is the deadline tonight?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.
