Imagine having Mark Riccuito as a Senior Board Member

Eddie should have sorted him out in the Carpark.
The people responsible for framing the Template for this “Camp” should be charged and put in jail.
The fact that this occurred 5 years ago and people within the AFL bubble still hold jobs from that time is an absolute f@&$ing disgrace

It's not that far wide of the mark, there should be some inquiry about it at least. It's seems like they've just dusted their hands of this and jogged on. Imagine a class action against these jokers.

I'm coming to the end of a project that has involved reading 28 different major primary sources, basically a global collection of the greatest military-strategic thinkers ever to put pen to paper.

From Musashi to Clausewitz to de Saxe and even Rommel, do you think a single one of them went in for this sort of boo-yaa posing?

Scene: Heaven. (Or Hell, take your pick.)

Rommel: ... so we had the entire British army hemmed in on this beach in France. They had nowhere to go. Absolutely on toast.

Clausewitz: Wow. So what'd ya do? Roll 'em into the sea? Negotiate their surrender?

Rommel. Nah. We took off all our clothes.

Musashi: What?

Rommel: Yeah. Then we got into a circle and screamed abuse at each other.

Napoleon: Wow. That's different. But then you rolled them into the sea?

Rommel: Kind of. Well, not really. When we got back to it after the Collective Minds weekend, they'd given us the slip. I dunno how they did it. Like a bloody miracle.

Sun Tzu: That's [censored]ed, mate. Shouldn't be allowed.

Rommel. Yeah. I think it must have been that some of our boys weren't right into it. It's no good unless everyone's on board, you know what I mean?

Musashi: But but but. It made you a better husband and father, right?

Rommel: Yeah, of course. What's the point otherwise?

Credit to Caro. She nailed this one.

Personal disclosure of information only to be thrown back at them. Yeah real smooth.

The interview with Betts on AFL 360 is in incredibly to watch.

The bloke was in complete distress after the camp to the point where he went straight to the AFL immediately afterwards and voiced his concerns and yet the AFL did nothing about it.

The AFL now release a statement today acknowledging the pain that was caused. What the actual [censored]? They acknowledge it after the truth is released?

Disgusting from Gil.

Leading from behind as usual.

They were all for marriage equality when enough of corporate Australia decided they wanted to expand their customer base.

They were offering unconditional apologies to Adam Goodes but only after The Final Quarter exposed the venom he was subject to.

Doesn’t surprise me that the AFL stonewalled this. It’s their MO.

Good old Gill, wouldn't know leadership it bit him.

He's the poster boy for followship, the art of pretending to lead after the event & only when the s... has hit the fan.

Salem... backpack....bricks

Let's hope this stupidity never repeats itself

To Eddie

it obviously impacted you badly and for that reason alone we as a footballing community owe you much more than an apology

Stopped listening at 3.22 when she compared the bringing of this to light... to Mebourne Tanking..

Every time I think she is an unbiased journalist (this, Clarkson etc) she slews forth utter verbal diarrhoea.

The AFLPA are a complete waste of space

Nobpdy wanted to deal with this problem

Anyone at the AFL pre 2018 should be thrown out

Just like Adam Goodes situation . Did nothing

I keep saying this, the new ceo should not be from the old boys club or little will change. They all owe something to someone.

Yeah, a friend of mine worked at AFL House for 6 years and she said it is a toxic boys club. And when she had the gall to procreate they ostracised her and she came back to indifference and zero work as punishment.

I like Caro as a journo but I was surprised at this too. I thought the words about to come out of her mouth were going to be about Collingwood and the Do Better report.

She believes very strongly in the tanking saga and how much of a blight it was on the game. Shes even said she thought it was worse than the Essendon supplements saga. There's no way in hell I can agree that playing players out of position is worse than pumping kids full of injections and damaging their careers but she's entitled to that view.

Seems any opportunity to mention Melbourne tanking she grabs with both hands (and both feet). Worse yet, even if it’s not an opportunity, she’ll somehow turn it into one.

She didn't make it through the show last night, her voice was shocking!

She’s always sounded somewhat hoarse but yeah, last night she was struggling. She was once described by a caller on 3AW as having a “bloodshot voice”. 😁

Eddie Betts - just when you think you think you couldn’t admire a man any more, he again shows his courage in speaking out about injustices that no one should have to face.

Correct, Jjrogan

Caro conveniently ignores the approximately 40 other times tanking has occured (including 9 times between 2003 & 2005)

I was amazed that Ross Lyon didn't intervene as he'd know about how tanking was once quite a normal practice (not necessarily Lyon being involved)

Tanking has been going on since the mid 90's coincidentally when the priority pick became a thing.

2 picks in the top 5 as long as a team didn't win more than 5.5 games?  There's a dangled carrot!

And it still goes on today, albeit in a very well disguised form.  Nevertheless, it still happens

Caro rightfully brought up the Essendon drug taking scandal but has never blamed all & sundry (the players were obviously complicit)

And as far as I'm aware, they are the only club that ventured down that path ... a dark day for Australian rules football

The camp and what went on just beggars belief.  People need to be held to account and the league's reply was and is pathetic ... the tone is that they just want to move on so it all goes away.  Poor governance (again)

Reminds me of how they turned a blind eye to the Adam Goodes treatment.  A shocking time for the sport

I guess some camps work. I mean the Melbourne Storm are famous for there pre season camps but I think when private information is shared & you are getting screamed at about being bought up by a single mother so you'll be a bad father.

Also Betts made a good point about there coach being murdered how much more resilience did they need
