Can anyone tell me what Future 2nd tied to Freo means? If I am right it means that the pick is dependent on Freo's finishing position. Why would the Future 1st they traded to us be different...or is it the same?

Sorry if itโ€™s not clear, both the future first and second are tied to where Freo finish.

F1 is future first round pick, F2 is future second round pick etc etc.

And you are correct both are tie to Freo's final positon.

Thanks. No, it wasn't just your post, I have seen it stated the same way in the media i.e. only the 2nd round pick being qualified as "tied to Freo".

Cheers

Dunkley is done. Massive get for Brisbaneย

Feel sorry for Treloar. First gets shafted by the filth, only to form a strong bond with Dunkley. Then gets abandoned by Dunkley 2 years later.

Jon Ralph needs to steer clear of technical footy talk, comment on the trades and gossip related stuff only.

From all reports there were a number of bulldogs keen to vacate the kennel. (Treloar one of them). Apparently a divide between โ€˜party boysโ€™ and the โ€˜professionalsโ€™ย

Yeah they were two peas in a pod weren't they!

Dunkley to Brisbane is a massive get, will be hard to stop in 2023

Who knows which side Hunter and Schache fall into. Dunkley had obviously been keen to get out for some time!

I'd take Treloar... ๐Ÿ˜œย

And Henry finally got to Geelong, fair trade period.

Is it all over nowโ€ฆ or are the AFL giving clubs an extra 3 hours to complete deals like last year?ย

Probably one on each side.

42ย

outs โŒ Hunt , Jackson , Bedford, Weideman ,Rosman, Mitch Brown

2 picks (13,37) + Chandler upgrade + rookie selection.ย

2023 2x 1st round and 2x 2nd round picks.ย

2023 2x 1st round and 2x 2nd round picks.ย

If we stick to the 36 senior and 6 A-Rookie mix for our 42 allowed players we have 1 senior list spot left and 3 A-Rookies.

So a high probability that Baker will be delisted but could come back as a rookie if not picked up elsewhere.ย  My hunch is the former.

Mitchell got to Pies, O'Meara got to Freo and Meek got to Hawthorn

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturdayโ€™s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFLโ€™s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterdayโ€™s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown andย  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
