Perth colts also good display against Subiaco Aidan O’Driscoll clean and damaging as usual, small forward Bobby Warrell caused headaches for Subiaco’s backline, Coen Livingston also important.  Oscar Dees and Luka Kentfield Subiaco’s best

Surely we have to recruit this guy!

I’d be keen to keep pick 8 ( Freo to finish 11th🤣🤣) and pick 18 ( Dees to win the premiership 🏆🏆).  Two young midfielders to be added to our group with foresight of list management in years ahead.   We seem very well covered in other areas. Will Lorenz, Cooper Simpson and Darcy Wilson would be likely types in the Dees mindset come November.

Jacob Grant from the Dandenong Stingrays is one I like. 191cm utility, raw, and loves the contest.  Brother was training at Casey last season.

Prepare the eggs. My face is ready. This kid has massive bust written all over him.  Daicos and Ashcroft were 30 to 40 disposal a week, fitness freaks with clean disposal.  They were a class above.

All I see repeatedly is a kid who wants to take on tackles. He will last about 6 minutes when he doesnt see the extra tackle coming at AFL level and get pinged.  If thats his 1-wood, buyer beware.

ATTENTION DEMONLANDERS.

We are all officially in the absolute sweet spot of supporting this club. We can peruse top 5-10 draft talent while ALSO being a realistic chance at a flag. It wont get any better than this for us.

Just on that Video, Moir looks great and that 50m both feet kicks is special.

Also Archer Reid a quick 201cm key forward, good below his knees, could be a very good 3rd key forward for us.

Plenty more to see and exciting times ahead.

Moir looks like a right footer that can kick well on his left foot based on that limited footage. Not too dissimilar to Gus.

The article says -

“The match will be played as a curtain-closer to the round five AFL game between Brisbane and North Melbourne at Adelaide Hills (Summit Sports and Recreation Park, Mount Barker), commencing at 4pm ACST.”

According to my fixture, the Brisbane vs North Melbourne game starts at 1:10pm which makes that game the curtain raiser.

Was thinking exactly the same thing. He won’t have the luxury of breaking tackles with that frame in the AFL.

Is there a match report with the kids v Port Adelaide?

Lets hope he can hits more targets on his left than Gus does

Watching Rachele over the weekend and thought WOW how do we get one of them. His type would compliment our mids perfect.

@dazzledavey36 any thoughts on Wilson??

He's a beauty mate. A high end talent who's been performing consistently well since a young age.

Son of Wangaratta Rovers legend Mick Wilson, and his mum and grandmother are also netball sporting legends. So the football and sport pedigree is strong in his blood.

The rate that he's going it wouldn't surprised me if he sneaks into top 10 calculations or 15 at best. A very professional kid who is pretty driven to succeed at thr higher level and I think the big watch will be his form with Vic Country later this year at the championships.

His under 16's year was pretty dominant and played as an inside midfielder as well as stints up forward and back. He's got a lot of Trent Cotchin like traits when he's in there so in terms of elite midfielders at junior level this year he's certainly right up there.

Don't let his skinny frame put you off. Started playing senior ovens and Murray football at 16 years of age and fitted in seamlessly against hardened bodies.

His work rate and ability to get up and down the ground is pretty insane for his age. He's just a ridiculously hard worker on field.

Type of professional kid you'd love to bring into your club culture in terms of on field/off field work ethic and professionalism.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

  • GAMEDAY: Essendon

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
