Come on Hawthorn you are playing a second rate Essendon team

The Hawks aint that good either.  Pretty poor back 50

Although the Hawks are pretty well organised behind the ball they are also pretty slow in defensive transition on a fast rebound.  Pedestrian mid field

Draper haha.....loved the endeavour though

Hi MT64. Have you seen the footage of Ibrox rocking on Thursday night ? This is the footage of the gantry where the cameraman was sitting shaking after the game.

Damn,,,you'd want to trust the engineers took that into account in their design..

Hawthorn look like a shadow of the side that discovered the blueprint to beating the reigning premiers.

The bombers have stretched them on the switch in this second half then played daring footy cutting it back through the middle more often

I was thinking the same thing Darkhorse. I was getting seasick watching the game!

Gee whiz the commentators said some pretty outlandish things in the last little bit.

Apparently that was a club making win 😂

Hamish....

"A win for the ages"

Uhhh nah

It’s so embarrassing the way broadcasters sell ludicrous hope to the big sides. It’s why Essendon supporters think they’ll win the flag from 13th every year - because nobody has the sack to tell them they aren’t good enough.

Maybe Sam Mitchell should have put as much effort into Essendon as he did with us

Imagine  if we didn’t put the cue in the rack in the last quarter against the Hawks. Two out of three games they completely lose the plot in the last quarter. They was plenty of percentage for harvesting.

Fingers crossed for both bombers and hawks to land in 9-12 by end 22. No man’s land…

no finals

no super draft picks

mediocrity for the next few years.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
