Maysie BOG??

Remember the not too distant past where you would have your heart in you mouth whenever we tried to bring the ball out of defence… now just pure amazement at our skills. Breathtaking.

They say they want respect but do absolutely zero to earn it.

Tomald may not get insanely high returns as far as goals but I give him a spot over Weed. I want him to succeed but he has no ability to bust a pack or keep his feet in a marking contest. We need him to do that.

Tomald’s ability to gut run and present is what keeps him in and he does that job week in and week out.

And the cherry on top we get to see Kath on the show after the game.

Boy I have waited a long time for us to be good again, but we are well past that. We are a great side now. Our team footy is something that is simply a joy to watch.

This performance has been arousing. I love the Dees, I can't wait to see what this team does over the next few years.

Good summery, Weid too often with the only hands on the ball in marking contest but can't hold on.

Actually, those last 2 goals from the Giants have been absolute belters, not junk time.

That's how a top side does it.

Nice shiner to tmac

PARK OF ORANGE FRIGGEN WANNA NOTHINGS UR SHEEIT

That look on Cogs face at the end.

It's that moment of true clarity that he knows he stayed for a big contract when he should have left the souless club.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
