Hoping anyone out there knows, just got back from some time away and went to catch up on the footy I missed. When I went to watch the Casey games they are gone.

Has Kayo lost the VFL? There is a local footy link, but it is Sydney games and I am in Brisbane.

Thanks Roy, I saw that the AFL were showing it but didn't realise Kayo was no longer. It's great to be free for everyone but I liked the comfort and ease of watching on the TV. Have to have Kayo anyway in Brisbane or you miss too many games.

I think 7 have a vfl match of the week, and I'd it will be on catch up (7plus)

The most annoying feature of kayo is when you join the telecast after it has started (usually out doing kids stuff) and it puts the bloody score at the top of the screen.  I have to block that part of the screen with my hand so I don't see it.  Does the same with the big bash games.

Otherwise best thing for me in WA, can see every game on the big tv and not have to pay for all that other Foxtel crap.

I think you can turn that off - no spoilers setting?

Yep, you can.

On kayo dropping our and dl8nf weird stuff, my assumption is it related to internet connectivity issues eg someone in the house starts a video chat.

Some apps and services cope better with drops in internet speed I think - perhaps more sophisticated system architecture?

Slightly related but I thought I would download the AFL app onto my Nvidia Shield so I could watch the VFL live stream on my TV.

Notice comes up that The "Telstra" AFL app is not available for download to my device.

So it looks like Telstra are forcing us onto phones and the like to watch the VFL etc.

You have to love the media carve up !!

Do you use the phones 4G/5G or your home wifi? If it's the home wifi there could be interference with the wifi signal. If you have 2.4ghz and 5ghz options for your home wifi try the 5ghz one as it usually has less interference from home appliances such as microwaves etc

Hi mate. My phone never has issues with Kayo. But my laptop drops out during play a lot. The Wifi then disconnects. I'm not sure if Kayo could "cause" the internet to go down, it wouldn't seem like it. But I don't recall the internet dropping out while doing anything else

Very strange, I usually have it the other way round with phone dropping out and laptop steady.

Generally Kayo works OK but a few times it has frozen and nothing can be done until I reload Kayo in the browser I am using (on a Mac).  Nothing else is putting pressure on my Wifi at the time. A problem at their end I am pretty sure.

Have issues with kayo, sometimes will not load selected program, log out and on several times then it works. Very laggy, no problems with Netflix of anything else. Seems to hang every time f1 goes to ad break. If there was any other way to watch AFL and F1 I would use it. (and pay)

the quality of the stream is fine thru telstra tv, mediocre and variable thru apple tv, but on browser is abysmal to the point where you literally can't see what is happening as it's all pixels

it says you need high speed to watch; clearly my 100mbps doesn't cut the mustard for the broadcast of games live nor on delay but MAN do the ads look crisp

I have the same issues with the F1. Strangely, I only ever seem to have issues with the stream when it's the F1 - including poor syncing of audio to stream or heavily jittery frames.

Mine is fine on the app on a LG C2 or LG C1 tv, as long as I watch the game live. Otherwise the quality can suffer.

I could be wrong on this, but I recall reading that replays are compressed and aren't displayed in true HD.

I must be one of the lucky one's, I use the App on a Samsung TV, the TV goes straight into a data point so internet speed is quick. I've had Kayo for years and never had any issues.

Same here.

Pardon the pun but the issues may depend on what brand of "Smart" TV you own.

    MORE FIERCE by Meggs

We’re back!  Winning the last three matches has recaptured our Demon spirit and, with superstar players returning from rehab, our Season 2024 dreams are not over yet.   So come along 5.05 pm Saturday afternoon to watch this Round 9 ladder-defining match at the Field of Dreams. Expect the Tigers to be fierce, but surely the Demons will be more fierce. Playing conditions are expected to be a dry 15 degrees with a typically gusty Cranbourne wind. The media opprobrium of the ill-consi

    IN FRONT by Meggs

In this must-win clash between Melbourne 11th on the ladder and St Kilda 8th, it was the Demons who were in front all day to win in a hard-fought Round 8 clash to make it three in a row to keep theit slim finals chances alive. A good crowd of enthusiastic footy families for week 2 of Pride Round had gathered.  The full pews in the well-appointed RSEA Park grandstand provided excellent viewing.   The Saints won the toss and elected to kick to the southern end favoured by a strong 2-3 g

    THE TRADING CHRONICLES 02

Part 2: Watching grass grow by Whispering Jack Critics of test cricket (and I’m not one of them) will often claim the sport is excruciatingly boring: that following a five day match is much like watching grass grow. However, the longest form of that game has nothing on the first week of the AFL trade period when it comes to inducing sleep among those in the football public who follows this process in its somnolent moments. The week gone by has been no exception. Only two player trades

    THE CAVALRY ARRIVES by Meggs

The injury plague which has beset the Demons 2024 campaign is finally starting to dissipate and with consecutive wins over GWS Giants and a 2-point nail-biter in Adelade, a sense of optimism is rising.  Some commentators are now asking whether the Dees can make finals? A huge surprise with team selection this week when it was announced that champs Olivia Purcell, Paxy Paxman and Eden Zanker would play.   Hallelujah!  The cavalry has arrived. St Kilda missed the finals last season on pe

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised
