A good day but sadly not the joy of the real day. Still we  won the premiership and that is the big one. IMO it was a well planned day that went off well. Gary was a good MC.

Yep, reckon we could get away with jumping on the ground and posing with the boys today. Not as if MFC will stop it 😁

I understand they need to hurry people through but man they were rude. They told me not to touch it, so I did just to spite them

[censored] joke

Mcg really put on bare minimum for the catering stands , lines where a joke

Really great day. Wonderfully organized by the club. I thought the presentation was wonderful. Great to have Jones and Jetta farewelled properly. Amazing to see Daniher so emotional. Fantastic for the players to have their kids and partners there too.
Well done to the club. This will never replace the joy of seeing this happen live, and hopefully we can experience that in 2020, but it was a wonderful experience nonetheless.

Other than that great day.

I got a tad emotional when Neale got up.

Was also a great touch passing the cup to different generations before it hit the stage. The ox and wiz got a massive cheer

Well done to all involved in organising that. What a great day.

Garry as MC was a good choice. He is just a natural public speaker

Loved how they did the premiership cup relay like format.

Loved seeing former players there including McDonald, Schwarz, farmer, Grinter &any of the older legends.

Can't help but think of Jim & how he would have enjoyed this.

Good to see Todd Viney be part of the cup presentation & I hope he & jack get a photo of the cup together.

Good to hear Simon speak and can I just say how amazing Neale daniher is. Yes his speech has virtually gone & his hands have weakened but to walk up on stage on his own & stand there then continue to walk around the ground, just so good to see him there.

And it was bloody good to be back at the G

Got a herald sun poster outside mcg so at least the tradition continues

That was a great day. Obviously nothing would equal being at the game for the win but I feel like the season is now complete, we actually did win it and now it’s time to move on.

i feel like the club did a great job, I certainly appreciate the effort they went to in putting this together.

Looking forward to being at the G next year as we win another, Go Dees!

Shed a few tears. Sang the song until my throat was raw. A great day. Let's hope we can be there for the real thing next year.

The applause that The Rev got was outstanding. I think it would have gone on forever if Garry hadn't stepped in.

Premiers!

Wow, what a great turn out and what a good run sheet the club put on

Was a great atmosphere, some really big cheers as we piled on the goals!

Great to see all the past players, and the passing of the Cup. Big cheer for the Wizard! And he luv'd every bit of it.

🏆💙🏆

Cutting off the Metallica music too early was a little anticlimactic - I was getting so bumped ! Could have started with some Bells Bells too. That intro was when the emotion of the day geared up - our team, our club !

New Spotify game day playlist has been created.

Sensational day. Well done to everyone at the Club - fantastic. We truly have the best fans - who else would get 30,000 to a replay?!

A very enjoyable day, kids had a great time. Let’s do it again next year. Had to laugh when they put JJ’s name on the scoreboard as Jordan. Was waiting for one of the regulars here to correct them.

Happy for all the fans that got to attend today, i was blessed to attend live here in Perth and still riding on the high of the win. I hope today on the rewatch those that missed out got to feel something close to what i did.

One of the things i'll never forget about this premiership is the reaction i saw from my family, they were as excited as i was when we had won. They've all seen multiple premierships on the TV supporting the Eagles and Hawks, but never had the opportunity to attend a grand final before. They all said it was the best experience going to the footy they've ever had and they were all as emotional as me and all the Dee's fan sitting around me in the cheer squad when we blitzed the doggies.

what the official crowd figure? i know they said 'around 35k' but it felt like more

the demon roar is so loud and true when it rings out at the g

great turnout, great day

You made it OD!?? ....very glad to hear this

A wonderful day.

My highlight was all the children decked out in red and blue.

I think our club is in good hands for the next fifty years.

Thanks to the MFC for going so far to make everyone feel involved.

PS: Robbo and his band are rather good !

Where was Kozzie?

Both locked up in McGowan’s Empire I believe.

Just got home from what was a great day. The club did a fantastic job to organise this for us & how good was the applause for Neil Daniher when he got up on the stage? Very emotional. Just loved Hibbo's mini run to boundary with the cup too.😁

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
