I for one haven’t moved on.
Not planning to any time soon.
❤️💙😁❤️💙

Totally with you WCW. The MFC supporters won’t be moving on for a few weeks/months yet.

As for everyone else, they can all they like, I don’t really care. Now is the time to be drinking in all the premiership glory and turn our attentions to 2022 in 2022. Still got 3 months of celebrating to go!

Not for me, it’s ground hog day here. Just turned the tv on and on Fox Footy Grand Final replay 11.10 to go in the third qtr. I think I might watch it.

It seriously is some crazy footy, I still get goosebumps from it.

They have to follow the media cycle - 17 other clubs hoping to win the off season (like we used to). I just have to flick on a replay (today I watched the r23 minor premiers game again) to bring me back to my happy place.  The trade and draft pundits can wet the bed as much as they like, they can NEVER take this away from me.

I am happy to move on (to #14 in 22) anytime.

What is trade period?  Let’s just ignore it. I’ve had too many years of hanging out for salvation.

Premiership Enlightenment is here and we can enjoy it.

Let the miserable pies and blues and Hawks and Roos and Saints and tigers and the others fight for scraps of footy stories and interest!!!

Ya, even 93 down we can peel off a quick ton

I recall a similar feeling of desolation after the 1964 flag. In those days, it was the Age, the Sun and the Herald and World of Sport. I think there was a photo of John Lord in the following Tuesday's Herald, and not much else.

I thought the next premier after us was going to be one of Penrith or the Rabbitohs. The Government of NSW might beat them to it.

(How would you like to be heading into a Grand Final at the same time as that hot mess in NSW?)

I haven’t noticed, I’m still watching replays 😆

This is one of the reasons why I became a lifetime subscriber to Demonland after the weekend. I have waited a lifetime to enjoy this, so I’ll come here and do it!

Support the Demonland folks and get on board. Literally all of my favourite supporter moments of our premiership year have been on here.

You’ve echoed my sentiments exactly, THBT! It hasn’t even been a week yet. My fam and friends will probs only humour me for a little while longer but eventually they’ll kinda forget about it. But on Demonland, it’s always gonna be welcome subject matter.
PS: I truly hope your little nephew enjoyed the win. 💕

And the 2022 season starts from scratch. Irrespective of 2021, it all starts a fresh with all clubs equal. And yep, the Dees will be a scalp that the enemy will be seeking.

It's so hard to believe its nearly been a week and I am definitely not ready to move on. Not interested in trades, not even interested in other sports that I'm passionately into. Heck, I'm not even interested in talking to friends that don't have an interest in Melbourne right now haha.

Trade talk should have a moratorium for a week after the grand final. In fact it should never be talked about again.

We seem to be disinterested in trades as a unit.

I was surprised by the retention of Brown , Daw and Weed but giants do not grow on trees.

Beanstalks perhaps.

Very good move Biff at least for 2022.  They have value. Pleased they are on board. But we need to have the twos playing a full season.

He loved the win, but will love it even more when all the ridiculous premiership merchandise we got him and his brother turns up. 10 year olds like cheeseboards right? 🤣

The most important 17 minutes in the club's history as BT described it.

Watched it twice today. Watch kossie. He tackles weightman and forces turnover to Bowey who kicks to Brayshaw. Then shepherds doggies no.5 to protect Trac when kicking his goal from the pocket.

Only multiple viewing helps pick out these little gems.

When do we stop celebrating ? I am back on the beers again tonight!

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons have the Bye next week but then are on the road once again when they come up against the Gold Coast Suns on the Gold Coast in what could be a last ditch effort to salvage their season. Who comes in and who comes out?

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
