Found myself at the Knox AFL Store, staring at items on their shelves that are in stock in shops, that I'm still waiting for from the online AFL Store that I've ordered over a month ago......

Anyone else feeling frustrated over this?  Now the  AFL store is telling me they're waiting on the New Balance tshirt and the DVD.  Mind you they had piles of the DVD in the AFL Store at Knox last night......

It’s very disappointing.

I ordered off the AFL store on 28 September and again on 5 October. Nothing has appeared after more than 7 weeks.

FFS.

Has anyone received the signed guernsey who ordered post grand final?

I ordered the day after and haven't received it yet.

I believe my framed and signed team photo is coming today via courier.....

My mate got the same one delivered Wednesday so I've been holding out hope all week.

Yes really frustrating. I've made two orders via the Demon Shop - 28 Sept and 7 Oct - and no word whatsoever. Just 'Awaiting Fulfillment'.

I've written to see what's going on as kids in particular are getting pretty antsy. OK, adults too.

The Museum Gift Shop at the MCG said they received the Beanie and Scarf and a bunch of other merchandise that I ordered on Grand Final night just the other day.

It is very frustrating that a lot of the merch I ordered over 2 months ago is already in stores. I could have held out and purchased it all today.

In my defence I have not been involved with a flag winning year before but I never order on Pre Order again. So much of what I have ordered is now available with guaranteed 24 hour dispatch.

I think the demand for Merch far exceeded any earlier projections.
i have read that we Demons have ordered/purchased 3x the amount of stuff that Richmond sold in 2017.
i suspect because of Covid.
Hard to know how much to order until the Final Siren…

Just tried calling demon shop to talk to a human  to no avail  about 28 sept order . Mailbox full lol Not reopening till 6th dec. it will be frustrating to see merchandise for sale 5 th dec at the G  and ppl who ordered  in good faith after the grand final are still waiting.

Did you venture around to see if the demon shop was open?

I didn't because I had read that they were not open yet to the public.

It would not have had anything the museum gift shop did not have (they had all the Knight merch too) and it would not have mattered because I have pre-ordered everything I wanted on GF night or in the days following and only a handful of my items have arrived.

Silver lining is that it is a windfall for the club but it's extremely frustrating that someone can walk into an AFL shop today and walk out with merch I ordered and paid for in September.

I ordered something on the 4th of October and got a note saying I could pick it up at the mail delivery centre in Narree Waren from 11.00 on the 17/11/21. Frustrating. However something I ordered in the 1st of Ocrober came within 16 days/

Shop was open yesterday about 4.55pm I phoned and Premiership  Beanie is just at the warehouse for distribution holding up my order.

Ordered mine a few hours before the GF (figured if we lose the silver lining was that I saved $2k), in any case, received message this week that it's on its way - should arrive by the 25th.  I'm based in NSW far south coast.

I wonder if they decided to send a complete order when they have all the stock . Maybe to save postage on multi deliveries. . In normal circumstances  they would split the delivery so at least customer got part order

The explanation was that the Premiership beanie was the delay but as it was in the warehouse now my order will be forwarded ASAP. Getting impression about 1week/10 days depending upon postage etc.

My other order from the HeraldSun Bookshop for my Weg posters ( about 4 weeks ago maybe 5/6!! Had to fill in message request leaving phone no. 2 days gone by no call yet!!

Weg framed poster and one other Just paper one are only 2 items awaiting on this order.

Doesn’t MFC get more profit than if same stuff is bought at KMart or AFL shop?
I’ll load up at G on the 5th.

Those B2B polo tops look great

I found a bloke on the internet doing his own graphic designs of MFC premiership stuff, and printing them onto clothing. THIS is what I wanted. A simple white tee shirt with this moment on it.

P.S. I cut my head out of the image to ensure I didn't frighten any Demonland juniors!

I agree What you want may be better with the Shop so they deserve the cash!

I ordered a Premiers shirt from the AFL last Friday, and received it yesterday.

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

And just like that, we’re Narrm again. Even though the annual AFL Sir Doug Nicholls Round which commemorates the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture to our game has been a welcome addition to our calendar for ten years, more lately it has been a portent of tough times ahead for we beleaguered Narrm supporters. Ever since the club broke through for its historic 2021 premiership, this has become a troubling time of the year for the club. For example, it all began when Melbourne rebranded itself as Narrm across the two rounds of the Sir Doug Nicholls Round to become the first club to adopt an Indigenous club name especially for the occasion. It won its first outing under the brand against lowly North Melbourne to go to 10 wins and no losses but not without a struggle or a major injury to  star winger Ed Langdon who broke his ribs and missed several weeks. In the following week, still as Narrm, the team’s 17 game winning streak came to an end at the hands of the Dockers. That came along with more injuries, a plague that remained with them for the remainder of the season until, beset by injuries, the Dees were eliminated from the finals in straight sets. It was even worse last year, when Narrm inexplicably lowered its colours in Perth to the Waalit Marawar Eagles. Oh, the shame of it all! At least this year, if there is a corner to turn around, it has to be in the direction of something better. To that end, I produced a special pre-game chant in the local Narrm language - “nam mi:wi winnamun katjil prolin ambi ngamar thamelin amb” which roughly translated is “every heart beats true for the red and the blue.” >y belief is that if all of the Narrm faithful recite it long enough, then it might prove to be the only way to beat the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba on Sunday. The Lions are coming off a disappointing draw at Marvel Stadium against a North Melbourne team that lacks the ability and know how to win games (except when playing Melbourne). Brisbane are, however, a different kettle of fish at home and have very few positional weaknesses. They are a midfield powerhouse, strong in defence and have plenty of forward options, particularly their small and medium sized players, to kick a winning score this week after the sting of last week’s below par performance.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

There was a time during the current Melbourne cycle that goes back to before the premiership when the club was the toughest to beat in the fourth quarter. The Demons were not only hard to beat at any time but it was virtually impossible to get the better them when scores were close at three quarter time. It was only three or four years ago but they were fit, strong and resilient in body and mind. Sadly, those days are over. This has been the case since the club fell off its pedestal about 12 months ago after it beat Geelong and then lost to Carlton. In both instances, Melbourne put together strong, stirring final quarters, one that resulted in victory, the other, in defeat. Since then, the drop off has been dramatic to the point where it can neither pull off victory in close matches, nor can it even go down in defeat  gallantly.

  • CASEY: Footscray

At twenty-four minutes into the third term of the game between the Casey Demons and Footscray VFL at Whitten Oval, the visitors were coasting. They were winning all over the ground, had the ascendancy in the ruck battles and held a 26 point lead on a day perfect for football. What could go wrong? Everything. The Bulldogs moved into overdrive in the last five minutes of the term and booted three straight goals to reduce the margin to a highly retrievable eight points at the last break. Bouyed by that effort, their confidence was on a high level during the interval and they ran all over the despondent Demons and kicked another five goals to lead by a comfortable margin of four goals deep into the final term before Paddy Cross kicked a couple of too late goals for a despondent Casey. A testament to their lack of pressure in the latter stages of the game was the fact that Footscray’s last ten scoring shots were nine goals and one rushed behind. Things might have been different for the Demons who went into the game after last week’s bye with 12 AFL listed players. Blake Howes was held over for the AFL game but two others, Jack Billings and Taj Woewodin (not officially listed as injured) were also missing and they could have been handy at the end. Another mystery of the current VFL system.

  • PREGAME: Brisbane

The Demons head back out on the road in Round 10 when they travel to Queensland to take on the reigning Premiers and the top of the table Lions who look very formidable. Can the Dees cause a massive upset? Who comes in and who goes out?

Wayward kicking for goal, dump kicks inside 50 and some baffling umpiring all contributed to the Dees not getting out to an an early lead that may have impacted the result. At the end of the day the Demons were just not good enough and let the Hawks run away with their first win against the Demons in 7 years.
