Happy Grand Final Day, Demonlanders (east coast!).

Remember, in the words of a wise Demon this season: "Whatever happens, we still love you".

Been wide awake since 5am. Am trying to post here to help fall back asleep. Doubtful. This is going to be a very long day. It’s like the massage I had to relax yesterday never happened

The old Kings Park photo op. I do love Perth as I have family and friends there BUT the attitude towards "easteners" is small town minded. Fortunately most don't subscribe to it. Max lead our boys to the premiership. I was at the last one and been waiting a long time  for this one. Bring it home. Go Dee's.

No wonder they have such great commentary teams when they can send this…

What do you expect when Channel 7 is run from Sydney. No Flippen idea that lot up there.

Could you be the only one who attended both? I don’t think anyone else here did

This whole thing about playing once in 28 days [censored] me no end

We are playing our 3rd game in 29 days tomorrow, 4th in 35 days

WBD are playing their 4th game in 28 days, also their 4th game in 36 days (5th in 37)

Makes no [censored] difference

Can someone get this thru to Matthew Lloyd. That's all he sprouts is one game in 28 days. Mind you he is tipping us.

We started the cheer squad in 1959 so have seen a few (1956 onwards). In 1964 we were in T-section (city end) which was standing room only  but had 4 rows of seats on the fence. After the game we stayed at the G overnight as the club put on food and drinks and we just soaked up the atmosphere. Played footy on the ground in eerie light around midnight. Still have very clear memories from that finals series and looking forward to new memories from this season.

After so many years of finding ways to deliver less than expectations, it's time for this club to find a way today. Won't be easy against a quality side...we are going to need to withstand a huge amount of pressure and respond with more pressure for longer.

There are no ifs or buts today. Just find a way.

I was up before the sparrow farted.

Every time I think of the game I just picture Gawny holding up that cup.

Into the garden for a few hours now to burn up some nerves

Agree. It should be a game every two weeks.

I feel really calm so far, but this afternoon I will be a wreck and when they run out ill start crying with nerves.

They are the better team, are more united and want to win it more than the dogs - i think they get it done.

Was just going over our year 2000 fwd line and wondering how we didnt go all the way.

Lets do it for them.

Started barracking for Dees in 64, I am 64 and my blood sugars were 6.4 this morning. If that’s not a positive omen for a win I’m not sure what else there is. Go Dee’s!!

It’s a hell of a forward line. Can anyone remember why Cam Bruce didn’t play? Injured in the PF? The inexperienced and undersized Ben Beams takes his place.

The rest of the ground wasn’t that strong though. A good honest midfield with the likes of Rigoni, A.McDonald, Leoncelli and Powell, against an experienced, invincible Bombers outfit with a mix of good (Mercuri, Misiti etc) and great (Hird). The backline looks flimsy on paper in hindsight. Ingerson is the lynchpin but his support cast is Matthew Collins and big Nicho - again, honest competitors, but they’re no Lever and May. The running backs are Walsh, Ward and Woey - all capable footballers but won’t get near it if the mids and tall defenders get spanked (spoiler alert: that’s exactly what happened).

I reckon the ‘21 Demons would spank the ‘00 team by a similar margin to what Essendon did.

Its off topic but Id like to point out the flak we got after 2018 season.

We were pointed out for going from a prelim to the bottom tier the next year.

Well the grand finalists of that year.....look at them now compared to us.

Travis and Shane were not too shabby but our backline certainly got exposed.

It certainly says a lot for the Dons team

A wrist or a forearm injury in the PF I think.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
