This is real.

There's a grand final tomorrow and we're in it!

Our team is at the centre of the football world.

It's really happening!

GO DEMONS!!!

Just a quick statement/ thought!

I have supported this club through good and bad. At times I must admit my love did wane but my commitment never has, being a WA based member for over 25 years. I will be attending tomorrow and must say; very nervous and very excited. I really can't say we win or lose but do believe this is the start of a few very promising years.

Having looked through the predictions at the beginning of the season, we had one pundit expecting us to make the 8. Personally I thought we would and maybe win a first final. This is well beyond what I expected. Whatever the result the players, coaches and backroom staff have certainly done more than most expected. The video of Goodwin on the season ahead is also nostradamus like!

Walking out of OPTUS tomorrow, it will be with a sense of joy or sorrow but also hope that this team is the one that breaks the drought sooner than later. The curse of Norm Smith may be folklore but it has certainly hung above us. Norm died at 57 and we have made the GF 57 years after we last one it.

In saying all this I hope we step up tomorrow and put the dogs in the kennel. Our best will be good enough, lets hope we bring it!

My apologies indeed. You’re spot on.

All good mate, I do agree with your initial point.

I’ve been a Redleg member for 17 years, the one year we make it this happens….

But I’m confident we’ll win tomorrow and I’ll take that for now.

We have the no.1 ruckman in the comp, Gawn had a career best game against Geelong, Jackson is a freak,

the way these blokes gather the ball at ground level is like having two extra quality midfielders,

At the start of the season I predicted that the team could make the finals and get to the Grand Final provided the team suffered few injuries and the core of the 22 most or all of the games with the bottom 6 ranked players making a significant improvement and contribution to the team.

It has come to pass.

I also said they could win the flag provided they have some luck on the day and kick straight, well tomorrow we shall see whether my prophcey will come true.

I’d like to thing the MCC and the state government would fight tooth and nail to retain the GF given it has a 40 odd year contract and has lost it two years in a row.

The MCC and Cricket Ground Trust don't buy into unlawful contract termination because thats what it would take to move from the 40 year agreement up to 2057 I think.

Won't happen.

Fair enough mate.

Each to their own. I personally prefer they focus on the game rather than remind us Victorians of our current plight. Tomorrow night is supposed to be an escape from the doldrums.

It was tongue in cheek BBP.

It’s the time of the Demons. Give Em Hell

I recall Mitch Hannan being quite fired up in our last encounters. It seemed quite personal.

He was a good player for us but I hope he has a stinker tmrw. who will get him?

tx Jaded that would make sense. Rivers is one of my faves and I know will be a massive star in years to come.

Training at Optus this morning. Meanwhile a stupid woman flew in to Perth from NSW on Tuesday without a G2G pass and tested positive. Luckily she was still at the airport and swiftly dispatched to quarantine and will be deported.

Should push for long extension given the concessions last 2 years

I thought it was a bit condescending, given it is their stringent border controls that are keeping us from being at Optus.  Ok keep us fans out but gee not make a quarantine allowance for the likes of Barassi and a few others of the '64 team like they do for their mining and tv magnates.  Double standards.

Best they just watch the game.

Yeah I disliked the way he and others got stuck into Harmes after a Hannan goal from a dodgy free kick. I hope Viney and others put him in his place tomorrow

Channel 7 is quality….

No wonder they have such great commentary teams when they can send this…

Didn’t know BT was also in charge of Mailchimp down at 7. Explains a lot.

They did.  Contract got extended for lost years a few months ago.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
