Rob, although living in LA, is a member here; we've been to a couple of games together.  Other musically oriented Demon supporters are David Bland who some may remember from both the Go!! Show and Kommotion (he also attended games with Rob and myself) and the drummer from the Huxton Creepers, Archie Law.

Bruce Woodley is a huge Demon

Had a coffee with him before the Jeelong Preliminary Final

We were both Nervous Wrecks!! :)

I can't believe that nobody has posted this song, featuring Demon tragics Scared Weird Little Guys, the late Jim Keays, Wilbur Wilde and Russell Robertson, and brilliant footage of Barassi, Smith (Norm and Shaun), the Wiz, the Ox, Neita, Allen Jakovich, Big Carl, Jacko and of course my idol, among many others.

For Demons supporters  I'm surprised no one has  said "Number of the Beast"

You must all be too young ;)

I did suggest some 6.66 from Salmon Hater. Got no love alas.

I love the Scared Weird Little Guys.

I remember walking through the MCG carpark after a Melbourne match in the 1980s. I walked past Jim Keays, who was also wearing a Demons scarf. I said "g'day Jim" or something similar. He looked at me, said nothing, looked away then kept walking. Oh well, never meet your heroes they say !! I suppose I shouldn't speak ill of the dead.

Gus said on the latest podcast that he had made a play list for his dad called sticksy 2.0 on Spotify. I have been enjoying it all week.

The songs have new meaning knowing that they have been selected by gus for his dad

That's actually a killer playlist, feels like some late night Rage on ABC back in the 80s/90s or 3am drunk at a party somewhere

It's a little known fact that the 'Can Can' song is actually the 'Galop Infernal'.

It is literally the song of the wild party going on in hell, personally led by the devil. Written by Jacques Offenbach as a mad parody of all the snobbery of classical music and performance at the time.

It also will lift you hair off your head with a good sound system or headphones and a proper orchestra and choir going at the full speed intended. Best I can find is from 1991!

INFERNAL GALLOP

This ball is original

with an infernal gallop

let's all give the signal!

Long live the hellish gallop!

Let's give the signal

with an infernal gallop!

Friends, long live the ball!

La la la la la!

I’M YOUR HOOCHIE COOCHE MAN

The gypsy man told my mother

Before l was born

l got a boy child’s coming

He gonna be a son of a gun

He gonna make pretty woman

Jump and shout

Then the world gonna know

What this all about

Cause you know I’m here

Everybody knows I’m here

Yeah you know I’m a

hoochie coochie man

Everybody knows I’m here

I got a black cat bone

I got a mojo too

I got the Johnny Concheroo too

I’m gonna mess with you

I’m gonna make the girls lead me by

the hand

Then the world’s gonna know

The hoochie coochie man

But you know I’m here

Everybody knows I’m here

Yeah you know I’m  a hoochie

coochie man

Everybody knows I’m here

On the seventh hour

On the seventh day

On the seventh month

The seven doctors said

He was born for good luck

And you’ll see I got seven

hundred dollars

Don’t you mess with me

But you know I’m here

Yeah you know I’m a hoochie

coochie man

Everybody knows I’m here

Song By Willie Dixon

Recorded by Muddy Waters

Wait a minute!! This sounds like rock and/or roll music!

It was, but I learned the entire drum solo when younger and the rhythm still sticks inside the head. So I play it, moderately often.

The connection of what's at the end of Satan's rainbow and the cool demon at the end of the clip complete seem appropriate;

And  as the Temper Trap are huge MFC supporters a shout out to them also

Fader is a great track. Love it. As West Aussies, pity they're not playing Optus. I figure they're probably not a band anymore.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
