Wash your mouth out

A) some girls

b) Iโ€™m old and over 40

Not sure if that Guthrie kick was 15m.

You can still do that.

Nothing is more dull than this game though. And anyone says itโ€™s been ok this quarter for 3 quarters itโ€™s been as limpย as a charity wristbandย

Just go at every opportunity next week vs the cats and there's no way they can stop it for the whole game. They look absolutely powerless now that the giants have thrown caution to the wind.

ย

Some great acting by both sides, worthyย of BAFTA nominationsย

Good support for GWS. Hope that means we get good support next week. Not much love for Geelong. Who can blame them.ย

Well I hope the boys are full on ready and switched on next week. Geelong will not forget what happened 2 weeks ago. No way in hell we can let them get out to a 44 point lead again and I guarantee Stanley will follow max everywhere this time.ย

Tuohy will also be there next week as well as Duncan that weren't there last time. They have more experience and I hope our younger boys who started a bit shaky last week are good to go. Geelong will not want to lose to us again.ย

I swear to god can someone just hit Hawkins? I hate him with every fiber of my being.ย

Don't forget their coach.

Cannot believe I forgot the jerk-in-chiefย

Hell hath no fury like a fan of a band, who hears that someone else has no interest in that band.ย

We played right into their hands in the 1st half. I think we were afraid of them TBH.ย

That fear must surely be totally gone by now. Speaking as someone who has feared the cats for 15 years, I don't anymore.

Can't imagine what life is like forย Miers on being introduced to people. My original given name is Ryan and that's hard enough.ย

Hi, I'm Ryan.ย

Hi Brian.

No, Ry-an.

Hi Warren

Like Brian, but without the 'b'

Hi Graeme.

Stuff it - just split the difference then. I'm Gryan.ย

Cryin' about what?ย

The quality of this football match.

Oh, I thought you were going to say your hairdresser.ย

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Nightโ€™s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourneโ€™s memorable premiership triumph.

  • NON-MFC: Round 02

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, weโ€™ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binmanโ€™s Stats Files. Not because it isnโ€™t important; quite the opposite. Itโ€™s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • PREGAME: Fremantle

After a stunning victory over the Saints in the first round of the Season the Demons head over to Perth to take on the Dockers who choked in their first match against the Cats. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourneโ€™s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last yearโ€™s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although itโ€™s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sundayโ€™s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to foolโ€™s gold.

Never in doubt!!! In Steven Kingโ€™s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
