If not for Maxy’s glorious goal last week this’d be us tonight.

This doesn't look like the Port we beat.

They have gone up a gear.

That's preposterous. We would never have 20 frees to 8 against Port in Port.

No way we'd be playing as stodgy and lifelessly as Geelong is.

Swans are the real smokey, I would not be surprised if they made the Prelim.

Not so sure the swans will get past Greater Waste of Space. GWS have got some big , tough ins and they'll want to make it a very physical game.

Not necessarily.

We are witnessing the demise of Geelong as a top 4 threat tonight into the future. We would have done the same .

Port should be doing well against a much weaker cats.

Cats look slow and they are.

Dogs seem the same.

About seven  weeks ago we were no different.

Ten weeks ago port were struggling.

Its all about form. You cant maintain constant wins and smashing performances in this close season

Lucky our slump is over and we are back to our best. Cats and dogs had their slump at the wrong time.

Port on a winning streak and chock full of confidence and momentum.

Rohan was shocking last week and he's improved 10% so far this week to be borderline terrible. He is not helping the cats win a flag. Geelong is like the local bus ( except in Victoria) Loads of passengers.

There are a few differences with Geelong from last week but the main one is the kicking for goal. Last week, Cats at half time were 10.2.62. This week, one scoring shot less 3.8.26 plus a shot out of bounds on the full.

Cats still having a significant advantage in frees.

Dangerfield pass to Dalhaus - off the side of D's boot, travels 10 meters - a behind only which is more than deserved.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
