If there’s a miracle this weekend and dogs, port and cats lose and we win tomorrow we 100% finish 1st? Even if we lose next week

won’t happen but I can wish

Nice, but not so important. Those of us old enough will remember the Dr. Mclelland Trophy 🏆

Winning September is far more important

If you ever needed proof the umpires love the Dogs is that non 50m call against Daniels punching his opponent in the head after a mark. Disgraceful.

How was that not 50 against Daniel?

Absolute joke. Should have been a certain goal.

How the [censored] does Kyle Hartigan get a game? Every time I see Hawthorn play he is the main source of opposition goals.

Haven’t watched. Is he giving Frosty a rest?

God, Hawthorn are a proud club.

So glad they [censored] themselves…

Tx Jaded.

I guess tmrw is no biggy

Hope hes ok for cats.

Just turned on the game down in Lonny. Let's hope the Hawks don't do what we did down in Hobart one year and find a way to lose with a gale at our backs in the final quarter.

Are the dogs having a mini slump?

I hope so.

Port next week but lets hope they lose today and win next week.

Clarko doing all he can to improve the Hawks’ draft position before he leaves!

Confirmed Tom Stewart is our for the year. Lisfranc surgery. Massive blow to the Cats especially on top of Touey and Duncan

Oh that’s a shame. As much as I can’t stand the Cats, I really liked Stewart - seemed a cut above the rest.

That out is going to reshape a settled side with Blicavs probably going back, which is not there preferred position for him.

Remember when we drew with hawthorn and everybody lost their minds?!?!

Yes go hawthorn. If the hawks get up this will be a great win for them and of course helps us. I love how the hawks have been winning and it's as if clarko is saying to jeff up yours.

People have been talking about how clarko wants to win but mitchell may want them to lose to get the better draft pick.

Clarko really wants to go out on a high

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

The Demon premiership defender who has the reputation the master of intercept possessions as well as great leadership qualities managed only eight senior games this season as he battled injury and form, prompting speculation that he might be enticed to look elsewhere.

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #12 Koltyn Tholstrup

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.

He is presently contracted to the club for an additional five years, with a substantial annual salary of approximately $1.7 million in the final seasons of his agreement. All at Melbourne are eagerly anticipating his resurgence to his previous peak performance levels.
