Bowey’s defensive work has been the best I’ve seen from him. That’s been what’s holding him back.

But it’s hard to see him getting a gig in the back 7 as is.

Do we need to move him to half forward at Casey to see if he can push for a game in that role?

Jonesy and BBB knocking very hard on the AFL door.

Vanders and Melk have been impressive.

Again, Hird ?

Like the look of Turner as a development project similar to Petty for key back depth

Zaharakis ?

Your constant references of Weid are embarrassing.

Well it’s just a comparison isn’t it? Two players vying for the same spot. One kicks truly the other kicks it close to out on the full. Not everyone is watching the game. Just a little context for those following here.

are you President of the Weideman Apologists Club or something ?

Hird ???

@Lord Nevwhy the face palm emoji?

He did it to me too because I prefer BBB to weid.

What’s the context? That he stole your girlfriend?

Nice, Weids ❤️?

You haven't pointed out any other players mistakes and have pointed out every single one Weid has made.

Not sure what your problem is, but a lot of us are noticing and have had enough of it.

We are SUPPORTERS thats what we are.

Your constant overuse of the facepalm emoji is tiresome. However, I apologize in advance if you have literacy problems and need to sign.

Weideman has been serviceable as a high half forward. Competed but failed to make the most of his shots in front of goal. Nothing against him personally, but if we are being real about winning a premiership, he isn’t the forward we are looking for.

that’s just the truth of what has been on show today. His goal kicking woes are holding him back. Sorry if that upsets you all.

Chunk has played well today. Should hold his spot on the pine next week.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
