first or second vaccination?

second is 12 weeks after first so very few people have had second needle (excepting category 1a )

And how do you prove you have had it dc?

i didn't say it was a good idea, od. i was pointing out you would need to have had 2nd dose and most punters who have bothered haven't had the time yet for 2nd..

btw i have a card saying i've had the first dose

First dose fine. Largely becuase i've only had my first one. Second one next week

A letter from your doc or some other formal proof. Incentivize and reward.

And I can yell and support with others who have done the right thing and had their shot(s) and not have to worry (well 72% of not worry) about all the possible covid carrying delaying dees and dogs fans cramping my style.

And less young bucks who can't handle their grog and are desperate to impose themselves on the rest of us.

Perfect.

I reckon postponing  the game is perfect.

Ummm with all due respect this is completely wrong.   Other clubs have been affected well before us

I mean we were the first club, to have one of our matches postponed, when this all began in 2020, when an ess player tested positive and the game was played at the G with no crowd.

Now one of the best matches of the 2021 might be same??

I do understand that other clubs have all been affected by Covid 19, it's just very frustrating to be going through this again.

Over 50s only then and mainly over 70s - the lifts will break down from overuse as no one will be able to get up those big ramps!

I'll get there 3 hours before the game starts!

Pretty certain games was off and we had a cluttered last few rounds

I thought we were going to play ess and they played the game at the G with out crowds?

I actually hope there's no crowd now as this will turn a massive spotlight on the Umps to get their decision making right and in addition there won't be any BS "scary home crowd" excuses to fall back on this time.

P.S.  How about we turn up in Demon masks, horns, capes and tridents at our next home game minions....that's gotta be pretty scary and might win us a match we shouldn't win!

Hey I would get jabbed if they’d let me.
It’s the old people letting us down. Eligible but super low uptake.
What’s a little blood clot between friends? ?

I’d like to see them still permit a very reduced amount of crowd, maybe select cheer squad only and plonk them at opposite ends. Allow 500 people from each team, space them out. I know it’s different worlds but they have been able to do it in other countries, it’s amazing how much of a different it makes just having some sort of crowd at the game.

A reporter I follow on Twitter filmed video of the non-existent lines at one of the mass injection sites. They should open it up to anyone who wants to get a shot.

Totally agree. Problem is we don’t have enough Pfizer vaccines so all of us young ones can’t get vaccinated anyway.

I have had mine jaded well first one a month ago. The problem is people believe anti vaxer crap. I know 4 people who are scared and won't have the Astra vaccine. Silly but while you give people a choice when there has been no one dieing they have this I will wait crap.

Lol I was at my mothers with a group of 70-80yr olds and I just said the same thing, it is a disgrace now. They all said the vaccination centres they went to were deserted.

This virus won’t go away. Make us wear masks FFS. I’d even wear full PPE.

No vaccine, no attending footy

Very much doubt there'll be any crowds now.  If the game gets underway we've done well!

A bombshell from the G might be about to hit from Sunday's game!

  • PREVIEW: Sydney

The two teams competing at the MCG on Sunday afternoon have each traversed a long and arduous path since their previous encounter on a sweltering March evening in Sydney a season and a half ago. Both experienced periods of success at various times last year. The Demons ran out of steam in midseason while the Swans went on to narrowly miss the ultimate prize in the sport. Now, they find themselves outside of finals contention as the season approaches the halfway mark. The winner this week will remain in contact with the leading pack, while the loser may well find itself on a precipice, staring into the abyss. The current season has presented numerous challenges for most clubs, particularly those positioned in the middle tier. The Essendon experience in suffering a significant 91-point loss to the Bulldogs, just one week after defeating the Swans, may not be typical, but it illustrates the unpredictability of outcomes under the league’s present set up.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
