Good to see Ratten call out the lack of frees for the dropping and throwing the ball by Geelong.

It used to be mainly the Bulldogs but now more teams are taking advantage of the lax enforcement of the rules.  Not enforcing the rules may speed up the game which is what the AFL wants but if all clubs start dropping and throwing the ball and go unpenalised then it will be a free for all.

I noticed that too. There seems to be a lax interpretation for Geelong infringing. In one chain of play starting deep in Saints forward line going to the wing  I saw an unpunished clear throw and two blatant dropping the ball events all committed by Geelong players. And I only watched 5 minutes of the game.

The throws i can kinda understand because they happen so fast. But the dropping the ball is so blatant and obvious. I don't understand why it isn't penalised more.

Should the cats be fined for swing late charges every single week, it is false injury report form the cats, if they did it in NBA every single game they would be heavily fined

Swans fighting for a top 4 position whereas the filth have no hope of making the top 4, let alone the top 8. They are a genuine top 16 contender though.

I understand where you are comming from but not the filth. 

The umpires were absolutely gutless last night. Apart from saying “Not 15” and “staaaaand” they were unwilling to pay anything.

They did give the Cats a free for holding the ball when the Saint player was grabbed by the ankles ... so blatant yet so wrong.

He’s lost something. Conference especially. This week and last passing off shots he used to slot with ease. 

Along way off i know and a lot can happen before then but we can't take Collingwood for granted on Queen's birthday. They have enough grit in them to grind it out and cause us some headaches.

Yikes. Just took a glance at the North/Hawks game in time to see the end-to-end Hawthorn goal about 25 minutes into the second quarter.  There were three separate half-effort tackles by North players and a couple of defensive efforts that barely meant the Hawthorn player had to change direction a little. Wish North had played like that against us.

Meanwhile, everyone remember that it is okay to barrack for Collingwood today and not just because Sydney losing opens up the gap a little more. From this point every Collingwood win just makes it more difficult for them to go through the renewal process they so desperately need. A bit more complacency just adds more time to the rebuild.

It's the same as any team really. If you're not on and the other team is you can lose to anyone, the Kangas taught us that surely. The key is to snuff teams out early so they drop their heads and then cruise for the last 1-1.5 quarters. Give lowly teams a sniff and they'll be up and about thinking they can pinch a win.

The Cats were the masters of this in their glory days, they would obliterate teams out of the blocks and then cruise to easy victories.
