Looks like its a bit different this week with a change of time for the on-sale window, and the ability to select seats on level 4

  • Demonland changed the title to TICKETING: Rd 09 vs Carlton

Hi there

I'm a Trident member and would like to purchase guest tickets, does anyone know how to do this? Contacting the membership hotline is just too difficult...

why is the AFL site showing a buy tickets link for every game except ours and the Eagles

AFL members should have opened four hours ago

PS.. Got in by going direct to Ticketek

Only level 1 open air available

system is a joke... level 4 closed again !!

I’ve had issues this morning! I’m a Premium Member but want to take my 2 boys. In previous rounds I’d forgo the premium seat and sit with them in GA.

ive just logged in and put in the 3 barcodes, same ones for every game this year and mine is invalid. I can only assume this is because of the new process of having access to my reserved seat which is not available til tomorrow!

So I’ve grabbed 2 tickets for my boys in the same gate, will grab my reserved seat tomorrow thru the MFC app and just hope there is a spare seat next to them.

I only have GA memberships and it’s stating all have been allocated already ?

Edit: Nevermind, worked the 2nd time

Firefox browser an issue, I used Edge Chromium. Couldn't even enter barcode (no input field) on FF

This is becoming a joke IMO.

Rain once again predicted on Sunday and yet 30 rows of seats undercover are closed off.

Please MCG - open up the top level of the southern stand FCS.

had the same issue and did the same as you

don't think you get your reserved seats from mfc tomorrow though, their email says 2 days before game i.e. friday

this doesn't make sense. could you have followed wrong procedure? i'd try ringing the club asap.

I got same email but I logged into mobile membership as per the instructions and the ticket is showing as available in 1 day , 1 hour, with a countdown clock. Give it a try?

I think you need to find a couple of spare barcodes and they may have to be from existing Trident members. My daughter rang the club earlier and she spoke to someone straight away so it be not so difficult.

Email from the club said the plastic membership cards cannot be used to gain access.

You still need to get your barcode through the melbourne app using your ticketmaster account on your phone.
And it seems this has to be done individually per member

Begs the question if it’s done individually how do people sit together if they are not reserved seat holders?

Because its the same seat as on your plastic membership card, If you don't have a reserved seat you would go through ticketek/ticketmaster

GA members don’t have reserved seats though.

A few of us have premium memberships with reserved seats and want to sit with children who are not premium. It can’t be done with this new system.

In my initial post I was talking about members with reserved seats.

Kept trying to book online and keeps putting where I don’t want to be. I can’t explain to a computer I want an undercover seat ?

Looks like I’m getting wet (and not in the good way)

I didnt think they could make a more complicated system, but theyve done it

They’re in hotel quarantine so I don’t think it will affect us

The man has actually tested positive here in Vic after completing quarantine in SA Cass.  We received a text from the government tonight as some of the exposure sites are in our area. Watch this space I guess.

If you wait until the public sale can you use a premium membership to get a general admission ticket on level four? I pay for a Redlegs membership but don't want to sit in the seats and it's painful being assigned a seat five down an aisle squashed in with randoms when there's 10,000 free seats on Level 4.

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

A month is a long time in AFL football. The proof of this is in the current state of the two teams contesting against each other early this Saturday afternoon at the MCG. It’s hard to fathom that when Melbourne and Fremantle kicked off the 2025 season, the former looked like being a major player in this year’s competition after it came close to beating one of the favourites in the GWS Giants while the latter was smashed by Geelong to the tune of 78 points and looked like rubbish. Fast forward to today and the Demons are low on confidence and appear panic stricken as their winless streak heads towards an even half dozen and pressure mounts on the coach and team leadership.  Meanwhile, the Dockers have recovered their composure and now sit in the top eight. They are definitely on the up and up and look most likely winners this weekend against a team which they have recently dominated and which struggles to find enough passages to the goals to trouble the scorers. And with that, Fremantle will head to the MCG, feeling very good about itself after demolishing Richmond in the Barossa Valley with Josh Treacy coming off a six goal haul and facing up to a Melbourne defence already without Jake Lever and a shaky Steven May needing to pass a fitness test just to make it onto the field of play.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
