you have to use "reserved ga". it's right at bottom of list (after you select "melbourne allocation 1"

Thanks Dais...sorted now appreciate it!

Does anyone know which bays are considered "dry/alcohol free zones"?

My reserved seat ticket is unlocking seats in M5 or M34, I'm concerned these are alcohol free.

I sound like I have a problem, I swear I just want to enjoy a couple of beers with some mates.

Good thing level 4 of the ponsford stand is open or I would have given it a miss

Finally got level 4 ponsford. I'm a reserved seat member usually level 10 rows back. Might dust of the old binoculars

And I am taking oxygen as well, haven’t been at such altitudes for years.

if you add a $0 junior ticket for every adult ticket you're getting, it should go through.

It should clearly state this when you book if it is a dry area. So if you see nothing you’ll be fine.

Well done to the MCG for closing the top level of the southern  and ponsford stand last week (where most seats are under cover) despite it raining for most of the game.

And how about they turn on the lights before three quarter time!!

Thought I'd get a ticket for Sunday.

AFL member

guess what... offered the same and opnly section that I was offered on Tuesday

Level 1 open last bay near the Ponsford stand

Question for AFL members, but for next week...

My friend is an AFL member and he wants to come to our game next week vs Richmond.

I have a home game GA membership.

How would I get us seats together?  Take his barcode and then enter that along with mine, when my allocation is available? So 5pm Tuesday?

Or would I have to wait for public release time the following day?

Great question, i have two guest passes with my membership am i allowed to have my guests sitting with me or do we have to sit elsewhere?

if you enter both at same time it works on lowest common multiple, so you would have to wait till his allocation time

i had this same issue round 1

sorry, just saw he is AFL member, so I don't really know. the above was for club member with free guest tickets (e.g. digital member)

assuming you mean for a home game (e.g. next week)

yes, if you enter them at same time. if you have reserved tickets it will seat you as though you didn't, so you would get a lesser seat, say on level 1 general reserve.

hint: process 2 guest tickets as junior 1-5 upgrade no charge. Worked for me and they can sit with you in a better reserved seat area such as level 2 wing northern or southern

Maybe it'd be the same as what you said but just in reverse. He is AFL, I am club with home game GA.

I'm lowest denominator, so wait till my allocation time?

I'll try next week and see what happens  ?

Last time i got a nose bleed there was almost 30 years ago.  1981 Semi Final, Collingwood vs Fitzroy.  I cannot recall why or how i got there.   The G and the bar at the Hilton were basically my second home lol.

Must have been a freebie.  I recall seeing the players running around like ants, not feeling that connected to the atmosphere in any way even though there was a huge crowd, suffering from vertigo on occasions and not being happy with the outcome.

The days when i had 20/20 vision!

Ring AFL membership but I don't think you can sit together as you both( I dont  think ) can sit in each other's area unless the barcode is able to be included in your  booking ( Also Check Membership at MFC) before ticket times are upon you.

I’m level 4,652 in the Ponsford as well.  Will have to dig out the binoculars.

Maybe if we all sit near enough together and yell out what we would otherwise have posted on DLand, we can get to watch the game instead of burying our heads in our phones.

Thought I might head into Docklands and use my AFL membership to watch Dogs v Suns but according to Ticketmaster no AFL tickets left !!!

Usually you just scan in and sit on level 4 general admission.

Lots of tickets for $25 but my AFL membership is supposed to provide free entry into all Melbourne games.

Not happy..... as usual ?

Could not agree more RN too high for me.

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons have the Bye next week but then are on the road once again when they come up against the Gold Coast Suns on the Gold Coast in what could be a last ditch effort to salvage their season. Who comes in and who comes out?

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
