Hasntย stopped a myriad of D/Lers having a winge about info re Caseyย

Wonder how many went to the link on our website?ย
ย

BTW on the "All the Goals" there was a few at the game down the southern endย

Who said it was a closed event?ย
If it was postedย somewhere theirย needs to be followed up for the future by the Casey Fanstics!!!!
ย

My suspicion is they may have been friends and / or relatives.

ย

Well from that I got one big thing.

If we donโ€™t starting winning consistently and playing finals every year we will sink into the abyss.

The majority of future earnings will come from winning more games, higher membership and higher sponsor fees.ย
ps I doubt Williams will be with us more than this season.

That's what it all comes down to. All the marketing in the world can't put bums on seats if you aren't consistently winning and making finals.

I also get the feeling we won't be able to keep Burgess from wanting to go back to his family in SA.

Great podcast fellas.ย  Thank you!

The following observations from Perty were the highlights for me:ย ย

-ย  over the break, he has seen a major step-up in player maturity andย leadership from the likes of May, Lever, Petracca, ANB and others, who have taken it upon themselves to 'drive standards';

-ย  in the contextย that consistent skill execution has been an obviousย weakness,ย improvingย this area has been a key focus of the off-season;

-ย  Adem Yze is very comfortable 'pushing back' against Goody and the other coaches, where he has an alternate view or opinion;

-ย  Choco has been more than prepared to make players 'uncomfortable' if they don't measure up to the high standards which he expects;

-ย  Goody is really enjoying the energy, ideas and IP provided by the new members of the coaching group.

If all of this translates to game days,ย we have an exciting season to look forward to.ย  Bring it on!!

It's a bit frustrating - of course wins will translate into memberships and bums on seats, but what strategies do they have to capitalise on any success or expand our demographic? What strategies do they have to tap into new markets (ie migrant communities) or strengthening our ties to the Casey area? Players doing sessions at local schools is fine but I don't think it's going to cut the mustard.

And since 10 teams don't make the 8 then you have to be prepared for a "bad year' about 50% of the time.ย

We lost $2.8M from gaming revenue when COVID shut down those operations.ย  36,000 members only produced $7.5M in 2020.

We need to increase our membership by 30% just to stay where we were.ย

I would definitely ask Gary Pert about our home base in the MCG precinct.

I am also curious to see if we could re-try the Jolimont station option? I understand the East Melbourne residents want to walk their dogs but you would think a nearby football oval and a community centre with health and fitness facilities close by would be to their benefit?

I would also ask if further arrangements are being made to try and get more support from the MCC? We basically helped make the MCG not just a cricket hub but a sporting hub. The MCC has grown very wealthy from VFL and AFL football and the MFC got thrown scraps. Why not help us become successful again? Both the MCC and the MFC would benefit from us becoming successful again. Plus, it would be nice to have a bit more support come our way and perhaps even get to train on the MCG more regularly again during winter?

Why would anyone want anotherย ย football oval in historical public parkland.ย  The area is used for far more than walking dogs by local residents and visitors. As for community centre and private fitness centre. Rubbish proposal that should have been nothing more than a two minute thought bubble. Pathetic, ignorant plan.

27k at the G on Saturday ?ย After a year and a half without live football it looks like our supporter base can hardly contain their apathy.ย

Thanks for that. I've actually read that before.ย

I would however say (respectfully) that I'm not sure it would be relevant in any way to our sponsorship by Red Bull.

The runaway criminal is nothing but a silver spooner. Zero to do with red bull other than living large off the hard work of others.

I agree, anything sub-30k and the AFL would be looking at us and asking serious questions. Somewhere around 40k should be the expectation.

Just a boring bloke.

Yeah, then we could ask him why he decided to get rid of the pokie venues and why he proposed a training facility around the MCG.

Finally. We get to see Perts Master Plan.ย ย

Win games, make finals, that should take the pressure off finding a home base and fixing a long term financial future.

And why not, that is how it has been for the past 57 years and others in his position have got away with it and still got their $$$ before running.

Really enjoyed the interview Well done , very much appreciatedย

Oprah is worried !ย

Good interviewย

thanks Boys

Pert said how it is. It is ALL about WINNINGย

He can only do so much if we donโ€™t win games

If we Win consistently we will get a home base.ย
if not, we get thrown scraps

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

    A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

    The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

    Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

    Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

    The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

    Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
