Either Melksham is doing his rehab and out for 3 weeks or Tom Browne was wrong. It surely can't be the latter. 1 1 Quote

The photos on the MFC website shows only the midfielders session (and presumably not everyone was pictured). It could be deduced that he is training with the forwards or on a modified program. Quote

Pickett2Jackson 3,904 Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 Bowey in the backline. Wonder if he has been identified as the Jetta replacement or a different kind of role? 1 Quote

Clearly, he will need to set his alarm clock for much earlier in future. Simply not good enough to let us down like that! he should give himself a good slap! 1 Quote
Hunt29 297 Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 With the new standing the mark rule. I can see teams using players with pace i.e. Bowey and Hunt as runners off half back taking a handball and running. The player on the mark can’t even attempt to block it. 2 Quote
Dr.D 1,771 Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 would anyone care here if Laurie and Bowey played round 1 ahead of melksham, hibberd, Jetta etc? Quote

joshua 74 Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 Interesting to see Neitschke with the mids, I could’ve swore he was a defender when he was drafted 1 Quote

Remember when we played the kids early for years on end and never got any better? Let’s no repeat that as a philosophy. I expect Laurie will be. I’m not sure we’ll put a 175cm 70kg defender out in round 1 unless he impresses in the scratch games. Jetta and Hibberd are competing with others for a back pocket spot. Melksham was training with the mids. There’s others that they are competing with for spots anyway. Quote

DeeSpencer 26,675 Posted February 22, 2021 Posted February 22, 2021 6 minutes ago, joshua said: Maybe a role like Salem’s which lets Salem push onto the wing? Salem will never move to the wing. It’s a gut running position that doesn’t suit his game which is elite distribution out of traffic. The aim should be to move him on ball but we need 2 more additions to the half back kicking ranks before we move him not 1. And we need to clear some of the mids out. In the meantime we can hopefully get Salem and some combination of Bowey, Lockhart, Rivers and even Hunt providing rebound. Richmond use the trio of Houli, Short and Baker to constantly countering with pace and skill. 2 Quote
