I don’t get it. Can someone please explain this?

Referring to the "games experience named on the injury list"?

If so, add up the number of career games played by those players on the injury list and there's your total.

In our case, it consists primarily of Tomlinson (160 odd) and Hunt (90 odd) plus Marty Hore's few.

I don’t quite understand this but the club’s weekly injury report says that Jayden Hunt is a week behind where he was last week. And was supposed to be on the improve.

Injury List: First Qualifying Final
Jayden Hunt (ankle) — 2 to 3 Weeks
Marty Hore (knee) — Season
Aaron Nietschke (knee) — Season
Adam Tomlinson (knee) — Season

Huh …

Jayden Hunt had Tightrope surgery and if he's not in full training he's very close to it.

I'd be surprised if he is not available for the PF.

Tightrope surgery

I thought that was for the Trapezius muscle.  :D

Whatever the muscle, it’s strange that his prognosis in terms of recovery date has worsened in the past week.

AFL website has Hunt as 'Test'.

  • Marty Hore Knee Season
  •  Jayden Hunt Ankle Test
  •  Aaron Nietschke Knee Season
  •  Adam Tomlinson Knee Season

He should be fine for the Prelim.

Well, we’ll, well …

Two out of three ain't bad.  Just ask Meatloaf!  :D

Tough call coming, I don’t know if we can find a way to bring in Hunt. I was all up for Smith out for Jayden but the flexibility of having him in the team may be too good.

I actually think Hunt as sub could work quite well, can play back or forward and could even inject some pace into the midfield if needed.

Someone posted on FB that SEN is reporting that Joel Smith has done a hammy and is set to be replaced by Hibbo. Anyone know if this is fact?

Yes, it is a fact that SEN reported that.

I feel sorry for Smith as it was a big effort to get back in the side.  The silver lining is that it opens the door for Hunt who I think would have come in anyway.

Tough on Smith poor bloke starts to find a place and then gets injured (again). Hibberd for Smith does seem like the logical replacement but I hope Hunt is in the calculations as well.

Can we fix Steven May? That’s the biggest question in the next fortnight.  He’s so important to the team.  A true leader on and off field.

He came back on for a quarter.

Reckon he'd have to lose his leg during the week to miss.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
