Updated info for those interested :) if not please ignore.

  1. A few clubs have come knocking about Angus Brayshaw again, nothing doing at this stage, but watch this space. they've also asked about Christian Salem and been told a flat no.
  2. there will be a few players in brand new roles in 2020, one in particular is James harmes who will have a role imv much more suited to him
  3. I still believe Tom McDonald will end up at Essendon for 2021 as a key defender.
  4. several clubs in addition to those reported are interested in Neville Jetta.
  5. as mentioned by others there are several mature age players that are being shopped around to other clubs, there is a clearing of the decks going on.
  6. Brayden Ham is a player of interest for us and has been for a while
  7. Nathan Jones has been told there is a real possibility he won't play a game in 2021. he's essentially been retained as an assistant coach, and to also provide some depth in case of an injury. my information is he won't play unless required to play as a midfielder.

Good rumours Dr evil. Keep them coming. Most of us appreciate them

We don't need picks this year we need some good ready to go players

Are we not in the premiership window?

Get a winger a  small smart forward and maybe a small defender

Picks in a S$%t draft is just wasting time in my opinion

We still have to use picks in the draft though.

All of this has already been reported on Demonland, but fair enough.

The McKernan deal was done two days ago actually, it was kept quiet though. My source is solid. #ETthetradebreaker #ETdoesitagain

And what role would that be Dr??

If that’s the case, he should not be in charge of our trade strategy.

Disagree it's a small industry and people move from club to club all the time they are professional enough.

Applying and getting are 2 different things.

Put yourself in his position your position is under review and you don't know the outcome a vacancy becomes available, what do you do?

2-7 make sense. We’d be mad to knock back any decent deal for Brayshaw. The only case to keep him is if Oliver goes next year and if that happens were in trouble anyway.

It completely depends what the offer for Gus was/is.

Good planning re Jones, No point playing him wing/half forward type roles just to have him in the team.

Wonder if Gary Rohan is seen as gettable now given the rumours seem to be true...

Worth having a crack IMO.

LN  He has an image as a bad finals performer, I thought he tried hard in the GF but not his day,

Oh god no. He’s a squib. Goes completely missing in big games. I’d rather us play one short

  • POSTGAME: Essendon

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

  • GAMEDAY: Essendon

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
