Will this be another one to come back and bite us? Pickett getting a lazy 4 disposals with Serong getting 22 last week.

Yes Rivers was part of the trade however this smells like Kelly/Tyson all over again.

Would die for some class like Serong up forward right now, the game on Monday will be interesting

He is a mid forward, classy in the Robbie Gray mould. Would have Melksham or Fritsch out of the team

Pickett is a player we need Serong less so but he would be an upgrade on Brayshaw who continues to disappoint.

Serong's 178cm and has kicked 2 goals for the year. His kicking runs hot and cold but he's a quality midfielder with class in traffic. I'd love him for our midfield and maybe you just take the best midfield type players and work the rest out later, but at the same time judging Pickett by disposals is madness.

Kossie's pressure has been awesome and he just needs a bit of coaching and development for his front and centre game - and a structure that sees a mix of talls and smalls working together rather than our current plan of bunching all the talls together.

We also got a very good talent in Jackson at the top of the draft and we traded 2 picks with North to get the initial pick 8 and then split it in to 2 picks again.

Possibly the biggest thing our list needs is a more even spread of skilled talent. So I'd be happy taking Pickett and Rivers types every year rather than worrying about missing out on the midfielder.

Oh ffs, this is why I hate when we lose. You get [censored] morons like Olisik who come out of the woodwork after every single loss and start rubbish threads like this.

How many threads does olisik need to start after a loss?

To answer the OP, no, we didn't get it wrong.

It's how you know he's a troll.  He knows exactly what he is doing by starting these threads after a loss.

Why didn't you bring it up last week, then?

Oh, that's right.  We won.

Is that you dazzle? This is a valid topic coming into our game with Freo in a few days mate.

im worried about pickett. he fumbles, he falls over, he goes too quick for his own good, he lacks composure, he can't read the play, his tackling is poor. Not sure he has the tools to make it. hope I'm wrong

You're complaining we drafted a speedy type who can hit a target inside 50?

Look at it this way, would you prefer Garlett or Robbie Gray on our list? Right now Spargo is out performing Kozzie.
I am not saying I don’t think he should be in the team, I am saying I feel pick 8 was too much and should have gone towards potential A grade class like Serong who we have missed now.

We have heavily overrated our lists talent and gone for icing instead of cake. We desperately need more talent in our team across all lines

Serong was taken at Pick 8.  Pickett was taken at Pick 12.   So we didn't even get the chance to take Serong.

You're an absolute spanner, Olisik.

Hahahha.. the guy is a spanner alright.

What's ironic is that Olisik was the same muppet that started the Kysiah Pickett thread in July last year stating how badly this club needed to draft him etc. Raved on about him

Quotes from Olisik regarding the Pickett thread from July last year.

We need to look at this kid as a second round pick up. Exactly what we need

Sorry, back to Kysiahah Pickett. Get this kid on the list. In the second clip I posted you can see he can tackle to.

Compared to Cyril Rioli and also is a Cousin to our own Nev Jetta which should squash any go-home factor fears.

If we split for pick 17, we must pull the trigger

We had pick 8 mate, from North...just like we had pick 2 before trading it for Tyson. We had every chance to take Serong as we did Kelly.

Must be embarrassing always being wrong Dazzle and using multiple accounts to troll.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
