I agree that Tommy is on very thin ice and that Fritsch is a poor kick on goal but the rest of what you say I can't agree with.

Milkshake I'd certainly keep and ditto for the rest.

Jonesy should hang them up, I agree with that.

Spargo a poor game with 2 rippers in the bank. Fritta was good today with 8 marks.

Weid is good but canr seem to maintain his intent for 4 qrtrs.

Hannan, Harmes and Tmac have had their day it seems.

Pickett is just starting out so needs more time.

Back to the drwaing board.

To be fair to Goody who would want this bloody iob.

Five  years on $600,000? I'd love his job please.

Viney would be a great Rugby player as he tries to beat tackle after tackle after tackle. I'll say it again Fritsch is soft and a very unreliable kick for goal/

yes agree.....58% efficiency & 9 turnovers for Viney.....kills us!

Joe boy

You are too black and white. Win, we have so many good players, lose we have few. Today we lost by 28 points not 128 points. Yet you could find only two players worth their salt. They must have played brilliantly to keep the losing margin under 5 goals. Sorry mate, but today you were over the top in your criticism. BUT that is your perogative. I simply beg to differ.

Viney - doing too much.

Petracca - lacked usual impact

Brayshaw - No real impact.

Oliver - One good goal.

Fritsch - kicking woes continue.

Hibberd- was well beaten

Lever - Makes poor decisions.

May - Ultimate Oscar upgrade.

McDonald - Moves like grandpa.

Weideman - Kicked his 2

Langdon - Found usual space

Tomlinson - barely noticed him

Melksham - costly brain-fades

vandenBerg - More costly frees

Pickett - slow fu$%#ng down!

Lockhart - Not out worst

Harmes - In wrong position

Hannan - lost his way

Spargo - Looks slow again

Preuss - Had a crack

Salem: Just a game.

Absolutely. Also needs to compete a little harder in the second halves.

I think Fritsch is probably getting away with a lot more than he should due to his couple of goals each week.

He’s getting a fair few looks at it, but is very selective as to when he has a crack.

Fritsch and Melksham give zero defensive pressure and neither are consistent enough to demand the respect of their opponent.

Forward line is still an issue and will be for as long as Melksham gets an armchair ride

Love Melks for his kicking, but he is costing us goals each week through lack of concentration, effort and attitude. He needs to be dropped otherwise he'll keep doing what he's doing and getting away with it because he's mates with the coach. For example he missed a 20m kick for goal by kicking into the man on the mark - very costly at that point in the game and then giving away 50m penalties - not good enough from a very experienced player. Same goes for Hibberb kicking 15m across HFF to the opposition and costing us a goal. We need to bring in players like Rivers and Bennell for these 2. Obviously Preuss goes out for Max. Then perhaps Jordon for Sparrow injury etc..... I'd even bring in O. Mac for Tommy and play him at CHF. We need to be creative like Beveridge - Goodwin is too conservative - I'm sick of Salem playing HBF where he kicks dinky kicks - play him wing/HFF or on the ball. For that matter I'd rest VDB who apart from the odd bone crunching tackle doesn't do enough.

That 50m penalty was absolute BS.

He is naturally an outside player

Yes, agree that Fritta is an outside player - that's why he should be practising and mastering so many training goals and angular strategies every week for goalkicking reliability. He must score 2 out of every 3 to be any good. Someone mentioned earlier today that TMac got one goal and so in Goody's eyes, he is guaranteed a slot against the Saints. The problem is that the poster is correct. That is pathetic as it is but Goody seems to have turned Fritta into another '...p'raps he will, p'raps he won't...' type of forward.

Almost seven completed years into a rebuild and we have two finals wins to our name with a pretty good list. I must be missing sometime obviously.

Yeah he had a great 7 years at Freo. Left them in a hard rebuild like he did at the saints. Saints have taken 9 years to get back to finals

When Goody has taken over two high quality teams on the verge of winning a flag and fails then maybe he can compete with Ross

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
