Well, there’s every chance that it could be  Braydon Preuss pitted up against Mason Cox. Now, that would be interesting.

if gawn does miss, we have two options - we either go with someone who can at least physically compete with grundy, or we go piecemeal and go with a variety of not-ruckmen to compete in contests in the middle and around the ground

we've become almost an anti-stoppage team in the recent weeks, so i tend to suspect we might go with the latter approach

prior to last weekend, collingwood were really going with one 'tall' in mihocek, plus a heap of mediums in wh-e, de goey, elliott as their primary attacking make-up; now two of them are missing and the third is set to resume following an injury, and cameron will play deepest man - do we bring in an o mac to man him as last man back?

for mine, our structure needs to remain essentially the same as we have had it, with three players rotating ruck / forward

the only other change i could see is lockhart coming for a defender; it's really over rivers that could miss, but i think he's been good both offensively and defensively every time he's played, so the other option is fumbles harmes as the 7th coming out, but i really think we need him for frontbum

as poor as tomlinson was, our defensive side has been really good the last two matches, so i'm reluctant to mess with something that's working

Brown has no chance of coming in we need a ruckman Tommy is not the answer it will be either Gawn or Preuss.

Given Grundy is in dire need of a rest, would they give it to him this week, knowing our #1 & #2 options aren't playing?

Don't give up on Gawn yet he's still a chance to play.

If Preussy is fit, he plays. It’s the only option I’ve seen that I like.

Weid and TMac forward with Preuss in the ruck is workable.

TMac or Tomlinson having to ruck full time would make us seriously vulnerable imo.

Omac in. Plays deep, on Reid. The Omac bandwagon must have broke its axle with people jumping on and off so quickly.

Tmac stays in for Jackson. Plays as a forward.

Lockhart comes in

Viney in.

Maxy plays. But Preuess comes if i'm wrong.

Two players get  dropped. Should be Harmes. Wont be. Should be Melksham. Won't be. A leader apparently. Could be AVB. Wont be. 

Spargo and Rivers the unlucky ones.

You're probably right.

He's been good hasn't he.

Against Port, his first game back in, he was one of our few who worked hard for all 4 quarters (Langdon been another - i could not be more impressed with Langdon). And has been good since.

You win against Collingwood by crushing them on the inside. This is where Jackson out hurts a bit because he provides another number on the ground at stoppages. Also why I don’t think they’ll rush to bring Preuss in - would almost prefer a more mobile option like TMac/Brown rotating if Max doesn’t play.

Tomlinson onto a wing in a more defensive role to help us shut down their spread.  

I think they’ll double down on the inside mids by keeping Sparrow in as Viney comes in.

Hard to know who comes out. Probably the right answer is Melk out (for balance) to give us one more hard nut in the middle.

Forgot Lockhart. I’d bring him in for Rivers.  Rivers provides the run and looked ok last week but I think you’d want Lockhart to sit on Stephenson... he has been quiet of late but don’t want him getting off the leash. Hoskin-Elliot the other one you don’t want to give oxygen to if he gets up.

I suspect goody really values Lockart's ferocity and  i reckon he is a lock to come back in. You might be right Rivers could go out. Which would be shame for him. Love that he carries the ball forward and takes aggressive options with his kicks. Confident player who looks a real player.

But they are coming off a four day break, whereas we have had six days and i'm sure Goody will look to press home that advantage look to physically smash them. So happy for riv to take break and come back in soon.

To be honest I havent tracked his form this year... but Stephenson. does. have. worryingly. blistering. pace. I expect him to get an obligatory 4 goals, unless Mason Cox get's his.

I can’t put my finger on it, but Stephenson looks like a cartoon villain of some sort with his withering bottle-blonde pouf of hair that looks like it will fall out with any more bleaching.

Rivers was excellent. Doubt he will be dropped.

I have a theory that whenever an outlier is highlighted on the Dees social media they are in line for a game.
