happy listening to Daisy on the coverage.   Love to see the blues get up.   Getting sick of the niknat fawning at the moment by commentators.

Glad someone else is sick of the praise around niknat. Yeah he’s been good with hit outs but gets nothing of the ball around the ground. I’d take gawn every day of the week.

Carlton have one bullet proof player, who umpires love even more than WC players..WC should still win.

West Coast are playing like they just had to show up for the points. They are paying the price for it so will wait and see what happens after 1/2 time.

Trouble is, they never really pay the price. I actually struggle watching games in the West because they get such a great run. I.e.

  1. the holding the ball decision on Seeton cost a goal
  2. the Darling 'dive' cost a goal

So whilst Carlton are 13 or so points ahead, it's not a reflection

Umpiring has been shocking with the htb rulings during the baggers v weagles game. Great to see umpiring standards haven’t changed (then miraculously get better during finals)

So true...

As I'm watching, I'm convinced that if they play the GF in Perth it's handing West Coke the flag

Its just bamboozling this season.

Rewarding players for standing off and waiting to tackle the player having a crack at the ball. Then pin the ball to them.

The amount of times its the tackler(s) who are holding and dragging the ball in and then getting rewarded is sickening.

It does nothing to speed the game up.

Eagles have a solid lead today in the Free Kick count - who would have thought

Wonder what the season tally will look like with 85% home games...??

So now WC is up by 11 points with at least 2 goals that were dead set wrong. A game in the balance is probably no longer.

Better than playing a bunch of thugs(mark 2) in Port's territory...

They're paying $5 for the flag. Probably easy money if it's a home granny.

Not sure I agree there Willmoy

Cripps is crying out for a rest. Must be carrying a few niggles. They’d benefit a lot more from him being fit than struggling through each game

West Coast have been woeful throughout the game but they put on a show for about five minutes and suddenly lead by 11 points. Reminiscent of the last five minutes of the first quarter of round 1.

They are good at that, but it is a trait of a quality team.

They could realistcially have experimented with putting him at full forward.  A bit less of a bashing for him, and Carlton are bereft, bereft I tells ya, due to injured to forwards.

I thought Carlton had flown past us and are closer to a flag? ?

Injury fecalised their season.  Won't know where they really are until next year. but I expect us to be playing them in finals in 2021.

Remaining Round 11 Games:

  • Tonight:  Cats vs Saints and Dockers vs Hawks
  • Tuesday night:  Crows vs Pies
  • Wednesday night:  Suns vs Ess

We are 9th on the ladder.  Have bolded the teams I would like to see lose to max our chances of overtaking them or be further ahead of them to make the 8.

Then we play Pies, Bulldogs and probably Ess (in Alice, a real Home game).  All immensely winnable games.

Dare I dream that after round 14 we are 8/5 ??

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
