Bbb can't do it all.

At present he really is are only tall.

Melk has been good but isn't a big man . Neither is Fritta.

WWXcan't play Weid but if we have Jackson in the ruck...Max is nit a reliable link to leave up fwd.

It's a huge gamble playing Tmac ...I'm not sure Goody will risk it.

Can Tomlinson play fwd or is he injured?

No way TMac plays before at least another Casey game IMO. If I were him I’d be mentally preparing for a tilt at a Casey flag and treat anything else as a bonus.

Agree, if we win through to the GF there is no way the FD will change the team unless there's an injury.

The chances are an injury could well appear and T-Mac could be near the top of emergencies or close to next in line (because of his versatility)

Not forgetting that we have had a number of players who have missed out on selection because of a late injury (not publicised) or for Covid reasons

And in an ideal world the MC might like him in the team (above the depth players)

If we can make it to the GF Tom could find himself in the team by default

let's say we win on Friday and Melksham has a poor to middling game.

T Mac plays VFL the following week and plays a decent but not spectacular game

Who gets picked for the PF

And just to make it more interesting Smith kicks three and has four goal assists in the VFL game

I would not be playing Mitch Brown regardless of his VFL form.

Three games this year. Averaged 8 disposals. Goal-less in two games. Two goals v Crows in a 6 goal win.

Yep there’s no point risking next year. He said the injury is a 6 month One and he’s back playing in 3 months. I know it’s all about flags and premiership medallions but we will be there abouts next year as well so better to have a fit and firing KPF as we are low in stocks and the ones we do have are not in the best health.

Depends how poor Melksham was and how T Mac feels but on face value I would play T Mac in the prelim.  very harsh on melksham but a second talls adds a lot to our structure around the ground, not just up fwd

Smith - Casey

Just last year Hibberd was out after r22 (dropped? Injured?) then missed r23 and the QF

Recalled for the PF when Smith was injured

If TMac fully fit and played 3-4 games he would obviously be in the team.

Watching him last weekend he looked slow and lacking in mobility - totally understandable after his injury!

He would need to improve nearly 50% in his next vfl game on what he showed last weekend to be considered for selection in the finals series.

The trouble with TMAC is after an injury, it takes him a good 5-6wks to get into form and is usually woeful in that time. I wish he was fit and firing though.

That is simply not true. I have posted stats on this before, You are perpetuating an urban myth.

That's your opinion.

Not everyone else's some more positive others are very positive.

Still has next weeks PF for match play with Casey Dees or Our Semi if considered ok if we don't win.

Might have been an old school case of the team being posted on a notice board!

If your names not there you're kicking the dew off the grass in the ressies

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
