Surprising that Fox Footy hasn’t listed the game. They are still showing the home and away round as being telecast.

Must’ve updated - I just set a recording, it’s thereĀ

Think we are absolutely no chance but here is hoping they can get up and given them a hiding.

This team is okay on paper but a lack of cohesion might hurt us, as it's quite different structurally.

Can't quite believe we're playing in a final tomorrow! It's come so slowly and so quickly at the same time.

I only hope they're able to give it their best in strange circumstances and enjoy what might be their last game for a long time.

Too many injuries. They are trying but lack some run off half back. Cunninham will have to pull her finger out if we are a chance. Daisy our best so far with Birch and Zanker.Ā

GWS lots of run, uncontested possessions. Ā We are missing Goldy and McEvoy. Ā Six players with no disposals at quarter time.

We turned it right on early in the second, but same old story of missed shots.Ā  It's just about the only way the Demon's women's team loses, and it is maddening.Ā

I still think we'll win today, I just really believe in this team.Ā  (Weird, huh?)

Ā

kick straight ..... Ā it will hurt us againĀ

Their kicking isn't much better but they snapped that goal after our 3 defenders had trouble making up their minds. Again it was Daisy that kept us going.Ā

We are looking lazy... don’t deserve to win.

They look like they have run out of tack. As I said before too many injuries.Ā

No structure or run.

Oh wow....come on!!!!

Wow, lock it up now!!!

Ā

How they managed that is anybody’sĀ guess... but all credit to them.

Fanastic.Ā  Desperate to win and that told in the end!

Can’t believe they almost took Perkins off with a few minutes to go when it was clear her contested work was keeping the ball locked into our attacking 50.

WHAT A WIN! Mithen sensational, Daisy Pearce fantastic and Birch was good also. Go the mighty Dees, well done girls now for the Premlim.

Winner of Freo/Suns and they play soon.

Would think it is Freo.

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.

  • NON-MFC: Round 02

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.

  • POSTGAME: St. Kilda

Never in doubt!!! In Steven King’s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
