Player list and salary trumps everything as its linked to job security ... coaching jobs are rare ... its not an issue.

I've no idea what you're trying to say.

It clearly is an issue.

I’ve heard there will be a public update within a couple of weeks.

After we get belted by 10 goals against the Hawks would be good timing.

Have heard similar; likely two-pronged r.e an immediate interim base and an update on the long-term.

Just to remind Daisy cutter and Old Dee they were discussing the insoluble venue position in Jan this year here, and worried about their resilience before something would take place ...well it looks like something is going to happen.

Cheers

But what if you could also get a mill a year and not have to drive to Casey and back a few times a week?

drive from where, not everyone lives in east Melbourne

We shouldnt leave Goschs until the new facility is built.

Moving on an interim basis - Pies get Goschs and then caulfield falls through....and we are stuck in no mans land.

Hopefully we don't shoot ourselves in the foot like we have a tendency to do repeatedly.

As I said a year or so ago, Caulfield will happen and we will end up with the best facilities in the AFL.

That will finally help recruiting too.

Jesus Redleg I do hope you're right...or your sources. The importance of it is growing exponentially by the year.

I hope you won’t crucify me if I am wrong.

Little missing comma joke.

lol...no...but maybe a crown of thorns?

Actually I'm grabbing on to any positives today about the club I can find in a bleak week, so I appreciate this small morsel.

Caulfield is progressing well. There’s positive movement in the background. Solidifying the executive will progress it.

In the mean time, AAMI is fine. Less time at Casey, more at AAMI. It certainly isn’t an issue for the Storm who are the NRLs gold standard for preparation, culture and performance.

Most footy players seem to live around the inner east, inner north, bayside suburbs or Ascot Vale area.

Sadly in the best case scenario we will be at Casey and Goschs till at least 2030. I won't see us anywhere else. I will no doubt be in an urn before that changes. Let's just get on with it. We won a flag with the current set up. This is not stopping us playing in GF.

It's been 40 years since they kicked us off the G SPC. Hell will probably freeze over before the above me thinks

this club is so cooked, this training base situation is our number one priority right now even over our goal kicking and countless over issues why are they doing this?

Jeezuz cool your Jets, Guera can’t undertake any negotiations until he is on the payroll and that doesn’t happen until next month. Everyone needs to take a step back. We need to get our coaching selection underway 1st, get Guera on the payroll 2nd, then let him release the findings on the new Training Facility and how We propose to fund it. 3 rd find out who has a big mouth on the Board or in our offices and chop off these misleading leads to the Media. The only thing that is cooked is peoples mindsets.

Agree 100% deezone. However as far as this project is concerned it is concerning that the length of time this is taking just to get approval. With every passing day I get the feeling it is not going to happen. I know the wheels of democracy grind slowly but this is glacial.

We have waited a long time for this Facility Old Dee we maybe further down the track than we know. I think it is time for us all to sit back and enjoy the ride at least we now know where it will be.👍

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.
