Club should pack up and head north a bit earlier

That's what the AFL have been saying behind closed doors for years

Queue discussions on how soft mfc is and why this kind of softness explains our performance

The players knew in advance there would be no training today. Peter Bruckner was on SEN this morning saying this smoke is unprecedented. Smart management, I would say.

Nothing wrong with this sensible and appropriate action. Alternative fitness maintenance programs will be improved ndertaken I am sure. Just don't gasp in huge volumes of air!

Quickly read it and fired a shot, so what, i never waited for anyone else to throw the first punch.

Apart from the Rebels, which I think was stupid on their part, there were 3 guys doing sprint training, looked professional, stayed to watch for a minute or two, until one started coughing, shaking and turning a nice shade of grey to match the sky   a great decision by the club

It makes me wonder about the human race when you see things like this Saty. Are they so addict to exercise that they cannot understand the danger today?

Happens to us all dd, normally I would say take a free deep breaths but fairly confident that is not such a good idea today. Enjoy today anyway.

Most of the list are reported to be in ripping nick.... it would be absolutely stupid to have them all outside today spewing their guts up from smoke inhalation. An outside session today could set us back a week or 3 in our prep.

Eminently sensible decision by the club.

Oh, come on.  Training in that kind of smoke would be like poor mans altitude training wouldn't it?   An opportunity missed by the MFC.

Looks like a beautiful Hong Kong morning to me...

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
