awkward face in that interview... can't say he looks stoked to be a dee. really hope that they've done the right thing here!

he's moving across the country in a couple of days now, pretty daunting for an 18 year old kid.

What do you want the bloke to do?  Cartwheels?  Pull the back of his jumper up to show a Dees tattoo at the small of his back?

Jesus.

Hope he doesn't decide to join Jesse in a couple of years.

Case of repeating history and hoping for a different outcome

Unless we already realise that Preuss will be nothing more than handy depth.  This bloke has the capacity, with the right development, to be an absolute star.

I can already see after years of development he will be requesting a trade back to WA.

History tells me we just [censored] this pick up the wall.

we'll have to wait and see 3D

We might get him with pick 10.

No they will use their fodder to counter Ron...we might but the horse bolted after pick 3 and we handed them Ash as well.

As much as I don't like it it makes sense, he will peak as Maxy starts to wain, can offer something in the interim. And will be injury insurance.

It's a no brainer really, not withstanding his enormous ceiling.

As for go home factor, it's a load of [censored]. If you don't back yourself in to convincing someone to stay your [censored] before you start.

We let Jesse go, and for good reason.

Listen, regardless of how we feel about this pick right now, the least we can do is get behind the kid.  He clearly has some attributes that can make him a star and, until we see him in a few years time, I think we can at least try and hold off on the wrist slashing.

Did you see his face? It’s obvious to me that he is going to get us into a grand final in 2021, and with the opportunity to kick the winning goal, will turn on an angle and kick the ball straight into the crowd, just to mess with us. He will also steal some people here’s superannuation in a Ponzi scheme.

Haven't been around here for a while, but good to see Wiseblood back to his optimistic best!

Agree.   Whether us fanatical long suffering Dees members think someone else should be picked, Luke Jackson is now a Demon and we need to support him to deliver us the holy grail.

I'll be honest and say that I wasn't all the enamored with this selection a few weeks ago, and I'm still warming up to it.

But it just seems childish to knock the club or the pick until we see the outcome, which is still a fair way down the track.

What's wrong with Ricky Jackson....he's obviously shot up a bit (but not in Richmond backstreets).

Good luck to him and I hope he does really well for us.

I am only concerned if we don’t perform he will off to the weagles as he said Peter Sumich is his mentor who he will remain in contact with and that his fav player is Nic Nat.

U can bet Sumich will be pushing for him to go to the weagles especially if we are still crap like this season.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
