I am not interested in hyperbole. I asked my source some direct questions

”What is the relationship between Richo and Goodwin like?

the Answer i got

”Goodwin has been told he is on borrowed time unless things change...”

Can I ask, since Richo has just come to the club, what sort of relationship would have developed yet ?

I would be amazed that someone inside the inner circle at the club would provide that info to another person to allow them to blab it out over the internet.I say inner circle because they would be the only ones that would if this was the case.

But you are always so full of the only answers Dry as

But when questioned you actually say nothing....

That’s what we need to find out as quick as possible. If it was Goodwin’s idea to bring him on board, fine.

If not it could be Rocky, but all the assistants are walking...

Ty for efforts Mr Rawlings & GL with the Roos.  Welcome back...

Because I never blab about what conversations I have with contacts within the club. And I say it again I would expect if someone gave you that info it should be kept to yourself.

I can understand about ready for change, any fool could work that out, but for an insider within the club letting out that Goodwin has been told can and would cause trouble but if you cannot see that you have a problem. What the hell have those videos after the game got to do with the way the team plays.

I am glad the Board have made their feelings known towards the Coach. That is their Charter. We pay for that.

Goodwin was Rubbish this year, and he gets a number of months to sort that out. Do it and his career can survive.

I have been given many pieces of MFC info over the years, where i have said nothing and that will continue, but i have no problem with todays snippets

You are missing the point, if the board has had the discussion with Goodwin it needs to stay inhouse not blabbed all over the internet. if the board is leaking all we are doing is going backwards when the club was run by the types as Glenn Archer so aptly refers to as linament sniffers who pee in their pants at the first sign that their plan is facing difficulty.

No. This year we went backwards, now is the time to sweep the Decks, open the windows and let the fresh air in.

Goodwin is on top $$ he has to make himself accountable. I have not mentioned any names. Merely that the Board are doing their job and the FD are on serious notice.

You can have the last word tonite, I have a big day at the Salvo's tomorrow and I need my beauty sleep.

The people in charge currently, post Roos/Goodwin have done nothing to earn our total and abiding loyalty.

I am sorry to see Jade leave if it is true.  l would have thought he would  have stay around until maybe he gets a chance to coach his own Afl team on his own merits when the chance had come.

He had his chance l suppose before Goodwin was given the nod however he stuck it out with us and got on with his job. A true professional a good guy and respected by his peers.

Lost a good person and  am sad to see him go.

Wow Huge day...

Thanks for your service Jade IMO been good during his time.

Would  have liked him to stay on, but if he's gone to the club and asked to be released due to an offer from Brady he wishes to pursue than you'd be hard pressed to say no

Very strange indeed. The boards fate is directly tied to Goodwin's now. Getting rid of all of his assistants, yet if he turns out to be the culprit, what a waste of 2 years and resources it will have been.

2 years? Getting rid of Goodwin will make the Roos years redundant and therefore a waste. It's much more than 2 years.

That's why a number of us refuse to believe that Goodwin is the problem.

Exactly. That's why it's bs.

Richardson coming in may have precipitated this move. Rawlings becomes 2IC to Shaw so it is a step up I think from what he would be doing at Melbourne.

Yes. After 8 years with us across almost every role available, he was always going to be looking to step up. Failing a senior coach appointment, senior assistant is a good move for him.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
