Welcome to Demonland: Taj Woewodin

He qualifies Father and Son for us, not for Pies or either Perth side.

If good enough and if dad Shane has good relations with us and Shane/Taj see a future for us, he could choose his club instead of being drafted anywhere.

We will know in a while if he is good enough and if we want him and if he wants us.

this is from two years ago:

Jeff White's son Kalani, 11, is another the club is keeping an eye on while he plays his footy for Surfers Paradise in Queensland. White also has twin sons named Kai and Tahj, still only seven years old. Adem Yze's son Noah, 12, Aaron Davey's son Marley, 8, David Schwartz' son Cooper, 14 and Shane Woewodin's son Taj, 15, are others on the Demons' radar, although admittedly they are all very young. Defender Nathan Brown also has three sons – Kynan, 13, Jake, 11, a talented soccer player, and Ryder, 9.

God it be good to have all tgese kids playing in the same side and hearong those names in the commentary again!

Remarkable. Coleman, Nicholls, Kennedy. One could go on and on and on.

The 10 players who will shape WAFL colts finals

Taj Woewodin (East Fremantle)

Woewodin is the young man who needs to step up in the absence of gun midfielder Jack Carroll, just like he did late against Swan Districts.
The son of Brownlow medallist Shane was a welcome addition to the Sharks’ line-up for the final home-and-away round after his PSA commitments with Aquinas College finished up.

He is a strong leader, a classy ball user by foot and can play across half-back or in the midfield.

Has been named on-ball, but is likely to rotate with starting half-back flanker Finn Gorringe.

Sounds like exactly the sort of player we need.

His 17 can he be drafted this year?

No.

Next year.

From what I've been told from WA, he goes OK nothing to be excited about at the moment but is bottom age Colts and hard to get a good read as he plays most his footy for his school.  Hopefully he is year 12 this year so we can see how he goes at WAFL level next season, if he is any good you would hope he could play a bit of seniors next year.

Does anyone know if the club is in contact with him, it about this age when the club keeps in contact with father sons who are any good. I wonder if he knows farmers son.

As soon as a father son is mentioned on Demonland it is like throwing chum in the water.

father sons are friends, not food

Let's not forget he has to nominate us as f/s before we can get access to him in the draft

Imagine those 2 young guns playing for us just like their dads.

Woo hoo.

Is that the source of OMac in our current team?

I'm a little slow sometimes.  I don't think I quite understand your point.  Could you explain it for me?
