Well I guess i'm both dieter but then you  obviously know much more than I do. I listened to Toms' interview and believed him. My mistake.  Even at his best T Mac wont kick enough goals. He is second string in my opinion and the club  needs to get another big forward. It is high risk not to . We can get small forward in the draft we cannot get a ready made big forward in this draft and we have no real prospect of developing one in the near future. But I guess if you have faith in the football department then all will be ok . I don't so lets see how it pans out.

YOU'D HARDLY EXPECT tmac TO ADMIT IN AN INTERVIEW HE'S PLAYING WITH A CROCKED TOE, WOULD YOU????

Yes clearly, which is why we have been more active in trade week than any other club.

Give it a rest!

Yes  I would he chose not to so reflecting on his poor performance wasn't looking for excuses like some. My view is that Tom got found out by good opposition and couldn't perform.you may have other views fine with me.

Active??? We have traded away our first pick next year ( Likely top 5 given my lack of faith in our direction)

We have traded away a quick, rebounding defender Sam Frost for pick 50

And we will probably [censored] up our no 3 and 8 draft selections picking  Jimmy Toumpas and Cale Morton CLONES

You give it a rest!!

Until I see Fruits and action I'll reserve my opinion

Watch this space!!

meanwhile JKH, Spargo, ANB, Stretch and others are STILL on our list

DOUBLE GIVE IT A REST!

If you think we'll draft bad players then why are you upset that we traded next year's first round pick?

Dogs did very well out of this deal IMO.

Coz we will still be Shizen next year!! We have NOT addressed two of our biggest needs

1  A Big Key Forward ( Josh Jenkins would have been handy

2 A quick clever Crumbing forward

I'll also say this.. Tomlinson is overated but I'm happy with Langdon

We still have some Spuds which are STILL on our list

Frosty is another Blunder

I'll say this.. Picks 3 and 8 had better give us some Class and Premierships!

I'll be asking some serious questions at the AGM just on these "Salient"Points!

So it looks like we are going into 2020 with TMac  and  Wiederman

We will pick up a small forward in the draft and maybe another Mid or half back

I for one really think we need another KPF

There are no ready to go in the draft

I don't think we will take enough marks or win enough ball inside 50 to kick enough goals

We really needed a big forward in my opinion

So basically we go into 2020 with the same dysfunctional set up as last year

I think the footy department may see some upside in Petty - Smith as KPF or even swing May forward.

Not Good enough!! some upside in Petty and Smith??? Maybe but should have made a big play for Bruce or Jenkins but didn't Our footy Dept IMV is Blinded by the lights eminating from their own smug beliefs. Our Forward line was farcicle last year

This has been a growing mantra but let's remember he was played exclusively as a backman at VFL level and he was only tried forward for a few games at AFL level because both MacDonald and Weid were absent.

Might work but it's no guarantee by any measure.

So our forward line where we had all the problems still hasn't improved

There are no guarantees on any player, we live in hope.

He has a handy highlights reel, can take a decent mark, fairly quick, doesn't mind a bit of rough and tumble, can kick the odd bag of goals

Light on for these qualities at MFC not sure if we were keen but seems like we missed a chance here - I'm not convinced the Weed will ever amount to much - really hope he proves me wrong next year

Petty has some upside but won't be our saviour next season in terms of impacting/kicking enough to make a serious difference to ladder position imv MD.

Having said that i liked some of what i saw of him this year and i think he will probably end up fighting with the Weid for the 2nd tall forward position and might even rack up a tidy 20ish goals or so all going well.   Can't see the Weid making it as the 2nd KF.  3rd target or back up depth more than likely but he might well prove me wrong.

Petty's mobility and willingness to hit any contest hard (not just leading up) should see him slightly ahead of Weid for this spot by season's end with Smith possibly chomping at their heals as the smokey.

If we end up swinging May forward for any length of time, beyond an emergency change up move (plan C) in the rare game, i think you will find that it'll be because one or more of our KF options up forward have failed quite badly prior to that and we are struggling to put a winning score on the board (again).

If that is the case the season will probably be close to gone or over by that stage.  I much prefer that May rarely goes forward as that should mean the opposite and possibly even an outside chance at playing finals.
