IF anyone is at the game, and still has any enthusiasm at all, who is playing back up ruck to Max?  (Serious question so don’t  say Spargo)

I know Melksham took at least one ruck contest.

As well as either kicking or setting up our entire score.

How is it possible for that to be the case when he doesn't even seem to be having a particularly good game?

Listening to Pert today on the MFC podcast he is 100% Goody is the right coach... Bartlett was the same not long ago... it’s hard to keep the faith.

Remember, though - they're asking for faith and patience. Another 5, 6, 7 or 8 years. That's all!

It's all just wrist slashing if you ask me.

You're all overreacting.

I think you're right. I mean what were we expecting with OMac out injured????

Smith and Wade repeat of first test please.

Thanks.

Where's Oliver? Please don't tell me he's injured.

He’s there.  He’s just decided it’s better for his career to stay away from the ball.

Maybe Pert and Bartlet are not the right guys also

Disgusting performance! That's what happens when you put your worst team out on the park. T.Mac is our most important player without him we are a disgrace.

This would have to be one of the worst games of football by Melbourne Ive seen in the last 50 years.

They must have given up.

They clearly have not tried. Swans intent evidenced by their fierce tackling ......its night and day.

Whats worse this , cricket or basketball

Cricket is at a very interesting point.  Tell you what though, as good as Smith is, is there a roo loose in the top paddock i wonder!?  Some of those idiosyncrasies are super weird and hard to watch ?  Drives me bananas

Wanna torture someone their whole life?

Make them love football , but then force them to support Melbourne.

Brayshaw has to go.

Does the job.

You could see it on their faces when they ran out onto the ground. Petracca looked utterly disinterested.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

  • GAMEDAY: Essendon

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
