I’ve been on about shitty kicking all year

[censored] me!!!

It’s killing us

But surely if we ignore it, it will go away right?

Was great reading in the training thread this week that we didn’t practice goal kicking much. Wtf is wrong with the dumb [censored] running this club? I don’t care if we don’t have all the behind the scenes ins and outs, some things are just blatantly obvious and could be fixed by a [censored] retarded chimp at this point!

How much longer do the coaches get to cruise and collect a pay cheque?

Talk to the Melbourne players about the way they're tackling. The frees are there.

Interesting that BT said from the start that you have to aim at left post at our end and we have missed right 3 times. Nothing wrong with Lewis’s action they just can’t read the breeze. Petty misses as well. Unprofessional by our forward coaches it looks to me.

It does seem laughable. BT as painful as he is, has a point and its basic knowledge. Astonishing nobody in the team seems to be able to work it out.

1.5 to 5.1 sums up our season pretty nicely.

The set shot routines from professional afl players at our team is a flat out disgrace. Beyond over it.

Where did that woman umpire come from? WA by any chance? She is fricken clueless & has no feel for the game. We have lost this already. Complete joke of a football team the MFC.

What did people expect? We have nothing to play for and very little pride as a club. They've mentally checked out and we don't have the type of leadership that can change it mid-game IMO. If anything is to change in this game it will come from other players like May, Salem, Frost or even ANB. Boys club runs through the whole MFC still.

Sure is.

disgusting goal kicking as per usual. well below vfl standard.  sound like a broken record.

Which was BS, they'd been out for a half hour or so before the main session started.

But heh, who needs facts when we can just let our confirmation bias run riot.

Umpiring has been pathetic but our performance has been diabolical. Oliver should be dropped.

Performance in front of goals and some loose checking by some down back but the umpiring has, as usual, been diabolical.

When was the last time we saw the MFC get so many easy decisions paid our way like the Eagles in that first quarter?  Over the shoulder, play on immediately when it clearly isn't, chopping the arms, rough tackle....and on it goes.  Many of those when our players are running forward out of position and the Eagles get the easy flip out the back with free players everywhere.

I’m at the ground. There is no breeze.

Goodwin is the right man. Everything will be fine next year. Injuries are why we can’t kick goals or won’t practice our skills. Our game plan is perfect for finals. Never mind if we don’t make finals. Finishing 17th is understandable and acceptable. Nothing to see here.

Perhaps not at ground level, but the flags would seem to indicate otherwise.

Genuinely made me laugh.

Meanwhile Darling just shat it through easily from the same spot we've missed 4 shots from.

Goodwin must be sweating.

So Darling gets their first shot at that end and aims left post and goals!

ANB fumbles. I’m shocked. He’s such a clean player.

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.
