We should experiment & try some of our fringe players in different positions. OMac was a forward as a junior it might help me reignite his career.

Try him at Casey at CHF when Casey Demons are playing at another venue.

Like it. I've heard far worse suggestions. Though I think the FD would also have considered this.

Omac is still relatively young, strikes me as a role player that needs time to develop and increase his strength. 

Maybe his best position is yet to be determined.

Omac is far too lackadaisical as it is let alone to play in the forward line.

Omac is the biggest spud. He'd probably be worse at chf. Absolutely zero pace or intensity. My grandma would offer more at chf

Think he mostly played back as a junior. Tom certainly was a forward, but not Oscar. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try it but I don't see him as a natural ball target

Try him anywhere,  it wont matter.  Not an AFL standard player.

Yep agree ET. It's his lack of intensity and desperation that won't get him much further in his career.

And as @Petraccattack said, sometime its just the simple case of just a limited footballer who is unfortunately not an AFL standard player.

Oscar played a mixed of forward and back as a junior.

I disagree, a certainty to be picked up by a strong club for next to nothing and turned into a useful player.

He did play some time up forward as a junior. No harm in seeing what he can do forward at Casey. Our back stocks seem settled so it's worth a try.

The wya some posters  "think" you could draw the conclusion that the kid is a mixture of Trump, Stalin, plus wgatever evil comes into our mind.

He is a young bloke who has been given a chance to play AFL and I would be absolutely suprised if he does not give everything when he is preparing and playing. I think sometimes in our criticism of a player ( and it had happened often e.g. Watts, Lewis, Weideman etc) we make blanket statements and refuse to acknowledge team efforts or any efforts at all.

Have noted he is not playing @ Casey hence he has not played ( I could be wrong) since being demoted . Let's cut some slack for the kid.

There is nothing wrong with O'Mac the forward line for Casey, rem its only reserves.

Early on, but mostly he played back in his last year or 2 of underage footy. A connection at the rebels once told me he'd be a better back than Tom and Tom should have been playing forward. This was when Tom was looking like he could join the elite backs.

Unfortunately on these type of internet forums supporters want all players to be superstars from game 1 otherwise they turn very quickly. Not all players will make it (actually a lot don't) and some might play 50-100 games as pure role players but they are vital to the team, others take years to develop then become very good players. However along the way a lot of those that take time to come good get bagged out at every opportunity, at the moment we've got Harmes, Gawn, Frost, Jones, Hunt, ANB and TMac (just from this weeks team) who've at one stage or another been called a spud, called to be delisted or traded or 'never to play again'  on this forum alone. Gets very tiresome 

A bit of mystery his absence from the Casey team again. OMac is in a few of the photos from Wednesday’s training gallery taking on his brother. Possibility he hurt himself that day but why the silence.
