well it looks like essendon have wrapped that game up. Dam, thought brisbane would be well in it. Maybe we bought them back into form and gave them confidence. gws are still in it even though they have lost ward.

well thank god we won on thursday otherwise it would have been a miserable weekend with the pies and bombers winning.

Wow giants in front.

Not only did Geelong lose ? , Danger will get cited for an off the ball elbow to de Boer's sternum then Danger elbowed him again but hit him head high.  Should get 2 weeks same as Dusty.  If Geelong appeal it can be downgraded to a week.

Geelong play Hawks then Eagles in the next 2 weeks.

Lets hope Christian doesn't squib it and give Danger 1 week which can be downgraded to a fine by the Tribunal because Danger is Brownlow favourite.

Massive reality check for Brisbane, getting absolutely pumped by Essendon.

We might have given Essendon the opportunity to wake up from what could have been a season-ending slumber.

Wow credit to the giants. They lose there captain and a very good player in the first quarter and they hold on.

I was listening to the last few minutes and Mark McClure was having a go at the geelong fans saying they are calling for everything and booing at the correct decisions because gws would get a free. Anyway good to see them have a loss.

Haha. Just saw the Jeelong score

i really hate Jeelong

i have no feeling whatsoever towards GW$

Tipungwuti has continued on his good form from last week kicking 6. I see Stringer this week kicks 1-4. Typical, of course he would kick straight against us.

I hated GWS when they first came in as an artificial entity.  But now with Scully gone I just look at them as a team which I can barrack for when they play Geelong, Essendon and C'wood (and anyone else if it suits MFC position on ladder etc.) . I'd rather seem GWS win a flag than any of the above teams (and probably some others like Hawthorn).

Yes similar feelings, although i will hate it when GW$ do inevitably win a Flag, because no one will care

true, but there will be supporters of 16 other teams who will be happy as long as they defeat a team they hate in the GF.

Same when Port won.

Never ever met anyone who supports them.

Still not sure if I was happy or sad Lions didn’t match Collingwood’s four in a row.

Surely one of footy,s proudest records.

Back Carlscum and North for a win.

Favourite son will get off.

Been watching footy along time -

Peter Keenan - 4 weeks for anything

Rod Grinter - ditto

David Schwarz - ditto

My thoughts exactly.

They are like the fantasy team of football who only exist in the virtual world

Is this..."my enemy's enemy is my ally " ?? lol

Anyone else find the AFL app constantly freezes? I’ve re-installed, updated, etc, but keeps doing it .

Bloody annoying!

Thanks so much Ch7

Tonight in W.A. We have the Derby where Andrew Gaff meets Freo again, but in Melbourne we must watch Nought Melbourne v Adelaide

Absolute joke

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
