Don't really like individualising but starting to think Frost and Oscar will never really be up to it.

Yes that’s why May and Petty are seen as the answer

Salem - lone class act

Weeds - not a ruckman

Spargo- not forward target

Viney - why selected?

ANB - blew up early

Hibberd- shanky left foot

Hore - better second half

Frost - frequent cognitive dysfunction

Petracca -slow muscle man.

Spargo should never ever play another game his disposal and fumbles were dreadful

Jones and Vineys leadership?? Non existent

Oscar as slow and fundamentally fumbly as ever!!

Frost heart in mouth stuff

Petracca drinks own bathwater

Neal Bullen never ever does enough and misses 2 easy goals

Weeds doubts remain

Nope Not up to it and NEVER will be IMV

Ask yourself this.. Apart from GCS who else would he get a game for???

One of Spargo's main jobs is to apply defensive pressure. While watching the game, I noticed he was all arms and was constantly brushed aside. I just checked the stats and my eyes didn't lie, he applied 0 tackles.

And this isn't a direct knock on Spargo, as he is a 19 year old kid making his way, but you take Spargo out for someone like Vandenberg, and that adds a considerable amount of strength and defensive presence to the team. Hopefully he is back sooner rather than later.

J. Watts: reliable and effective

(three words that were never ushered in his time at MFC)

Sorry loges, but you're only starting to realise this? They are only made to look half decent by our midfield. When we fail there, like we did today, they are exposed big time.

OMAC is a more uncoordinated version of Garland (which i previously thought impossible)

Frost is simply a dumb footballer, with loads of athleticism that is let down by his mere stupidity. The frightening thing is, he doesn't play to his strengths but his weaknesses.

Before the game - full of hope

during the game- screaming at TV

after the game - single malt solace!

Yes I was giving them the benefit of the doubt but they just keep on making the same mistakes.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
