Anyone going? I'll be going to the Geelong practice match next week so you will get a report there.

Looking forward to reports on Preuss and Kolodjashnij in particular. GO CASEY!

Very keen to see how Kolodjashnij plays.  Hopefully can be pushing for selection by rounds 3-4.

The injury toll will certainly be reflected in the team for tomorrow’s game. Here’s my list of Melbourne players available for Casey based on the injury list* -

12. Toby Bedford
15. Billy Stretch
16. Kade Kolodjashnij
20. Corey Maynard
21. Braydon Preuss
23. James Jordon
33. Harrison Petty
35. Oskar Baker
37. Kade Chandler
41. Jay Lockhart
42. Josh Wagner
45. Declan Keilty
46. Austin Bradtke

* assuming Steven May is not available to play for Casey due to his suspension.

Oscar Baker and KK are two i am quite interested today. I feel like their run and drive will be crucial for our line up over the next few weeks.

Hope Preuss plays well also.

5 mins into the first quarter a Hawks player goes down holding his leg. I’m not sure what happened but the Umpires have called for an ambulance. Gonna be a while before play starts again.Poor bastard, never want to see injuries but definitely not serious injuries in a practice match.

For me Kielty was far above any of our big men

Contested marks and beautiful kick and has a football brain

Coach said as much in his address at the first break

Pruess definitely has potential

We struggled against a strong wind 2 quarter

Any scores??

Kolodjashnij has done some good stuff, Baker as well. Pruess dominating in the ruck at stoppages but otherwise not doing a lot. Stretch been good too. Casey have had most of the play but have missed easy shots and gotten hurt on the rebound.

Casey 6-13-49 to BH 9-3-57 nearing 3/4 time

Left at 1/2 time. Box hill player was down for about nearly 1/2 an hour. They had to wait for an ambulance This is why it took so long. Not even a mobile carry off stretcher to get on the ground to pick him up.

As for our players well Keilty was playing well as was petty in the backline. Pruess okay centre bounces but nothing else. KK was okay and reads the play well. agner was good as well. We were 3  11 to their 9 2. Can't kick straight.

Classic Demonland.

Put a mirror up mate. You are what you perceive

Keitly was promoted from the Casey list and has been in the system now for a couple of years. He was far more effective than Pruese in the ruck in the pre-season game I watched.

We got smashed against Port on the weekend and part of the problem was when Weid  went into the ruck. We needed a better option. Ohh that and he can actually take a contested mark over his head unlike Weid.

Keilty in for mine.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
