So, who’s going today? I’m taking my brother’s children as he can’t make it. Hope to see you all there!

(feel free to move this if it’s alreay been created as I couldn’t find it)

Yeah I'm going

Well I can't get there so if someone can just give us an update on the injuries that occurred yesterday and also can someone ask may what the hell he was thinking with that so called bump yesterday?

Just anything else about the day also. Thanks.

Big bandage on Viney’s thigh

Is it weird that I’m happy Viney has a thigh issue? As long as the foot is ok!

Wonder what’s wrong with AVB. The other 3 absentees are self explanatory.

Massive lines out there today for some players.

Preuss had some sort of bandage underneath his shorts. One of the organisers had instructions for him to keep seated during photos and signatures but he was having none of it. The plastic chair given to him was tiny, no way he was getting his rump on that.

Having spent the last couple of weeks in Hanoi I can relate to that !!

Hope all the youngsters have a wonderful day

We had a great couple of hours, players friendly and happy for photo ops, etc.grandkids lapped it up. Said. Hello to all the new players caught up with a couple of family friends who are also die hards so good to see so many kids on the Dee’s colours. Couldn’t get near Max & Jack Viney lines to long.  Go Dee’s...!!!!!!!

It really is a great set up.  The lines are long but it’s a great atmosphere and really well run.

Great to see so many Dees out and about.

Just came from the Sponsor’s Function.
- We will go in with one ruckman against Port.
- The players are not massive fans of the 6-6-6.
- Joel Smith and AvB were not there as they were getting scans. No JKH or Harmes either.
- One player said that the current group of young players that came into the club were the most exciting group in a long time. In particular, he said Austin Bradkte could be anything.
- Jake Lever back in full training. He said he’s honestly got no idea when he’ll be back, so people should stop asking him!
- There will be match simulation next Saturday. Players, in particular the defenders, were not happy with the lack of pressure on the Lion’s midfield yesterday. Delivery inside 50 will continue to be a focus.
- Losing two players early really hurt us yesterday. Especially against a team with extra players. One player felt like he just went into survival mode after half time. We played 23. Keilty was supposed to come on later than he did.

thanks @Tough Kent, that's really interesting

as someone else on here posited, 666 - which should favour us as a side with a dominant ruck and big bodied mids kicking to leading forwards - is definitely going to take some adjustment given we're relatively used to playing two off the back of the square

That was the couple of players I spoke to said. Found it hard starting inside forward 50, charging at the centre bounce, only for the ball to go sailing over their head anyway. The players enjoyed starting at the back of the square as a means of getting themselves into the game. Will take some adjustment.

Any idea what AVB is getting scanned? Poor guy has had a terrible run of injuries. Hope it’s all ok and not his ankle playing up again.

My understanding is that Goody gave up on that plan for the extra two behind the ball about half way into last year.

Cant believe players can be so inflexible !(or selfish) If they aren't mentally right about this then let them learn at Casey.

BTW what did they do before Goody invented this move? Start on the forward line obviously.

Please if this is one of our real worries we have got problems. Send them on a Camp to get their heads in the right place!!!

Players don't dictate rules or positions in the game and definitely not in this Demons era of success.

Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.
