Elegt 872 Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Our 2018 AFLX squad was pretty strong so to prepare for 2019 I'd be interested to know peoples best squads for me I'd select Tmac, melksham, viney, harmes, oliver, frost, hibberd b: jetta, VDB, ANB Quote
Bring-Back-Powell 15,555 Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 I'm already having sleepless nights thinking about how we're going to defend our title. 6 1 Quote
DistrACTION Jackson 10,748 Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 I would select everyone other than our most important players.... I'm comfortable coming last in AFLX 2 1 Quote

Ethan Tremblay 31,389 Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 MelXham won the AFLX Brownlow last season so he’s the only walk-up start. 2 1 Quote

Pretty much cost us top 4 too. 3 Quote

Deeman 1,551 Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Based on Preussy's classic rag dolling of T Mac in last year's AFLX, surely he is a must for inclusion. 3 Quote
Demonland 74,444 Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 I think we should retire champs and refuse to participate. 3 1 Quote
Little Goffy 14,970 Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Maybe this is why so many delistings. This way, we will have plenty of new kids with nothing better to do with their time and a chance to show a bit without anyone really caring about the result. They can fill the AFLX numbers, fans get a look at them, and none of our core group faces the daft risk. All a cunning plan. 1 Quote

AFLX is no time for kids mate, only the best of the best get gifted the opportunity to play on the glorious night 1 Quote
darkhorse72 1,943 Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 We won the first one, thats all that matters, no one will remember who wins the rest. Cause we'll be the quiz night questions answer "winner "Melbourne" I think it was important last year to build confidence. It also helped us in practise some precise kicking and the run to break zones towards the forward line. The format is not that taxing on the players compared to a traditional preseason game. The downside is you can't use them to refine your game style is the real thing. Quote

Dee Zephyr 19,313 Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Are we actually doing this? Here goes.... Hunt, Baker, Stretch, Melksham (C), Fritsch,Preuss, J Smith. Bench: Wagner, JKH, Garlett. Did Jennings coach us to the championship? Quote
La Dee-vina Comedia 17,137 Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 I'm already desperate for some footy. But I'm not that desperate. Having said that, I think there is a future for the AFLX concept, but just not with AFL present-day players. I can see it being a useful product to offer in non-AFL markets where finding appropriate oval grounds can be problematic. It's sort of like an Auskick for adults. Quote
