Our club should be chasing Scully. Who would you rather? Tyson and Nathan Jones on a wing? Or this endurance beast?

I don't care what happened in 2011. People need to get over it.

An outside pacy and skillful winger is what we need and Scully fits the bill.

Pacy and the comps best runner but Scully hasn’t hit a target since he stabbed the knife through us.

Excited to see what Stretch, Baker, Fritsch and Kade Kolo can do on the wings. Until then Vanders can tackle Scully in to the ground

No DH rule.

With the trades of Kent and Tyson, we now hold picks 36, 46, 54, 62 and 65.

I imagine that by the end of the trade period, Josh will pull a 'Mahoney' special which will push us higher in the draft.

Hopefully the trade a few of these with Sydney to get their 2 round picks

The rumours re Wingard are pretty brutal, thought I was reading about Watts for a second there

Keeping in mind the number of picks we need to have enough on our list. I take my hat off to the list team who must keep an eye on all the outcomes.

Would be most appropriate for $cully to end up at Whorethorn.  Would give me twice the number of reasons to boo the pox riddled little turd.

Seriously, what kind of culture must Whorethorn be building with a team full of mercenaries, whilst porning off their up and comming players lIke Burton?  I really hope this import led rebuild of Whorethorn is as sucessful as Carlscums latest one and the end up occupying the lowest rungs of the ladder for a loooong time.

Haven't read anything much on Wingard, mainly due lack of interest, but now you have tickled that - any links?

There is a bigfooty write up on him (rumours), I'll try and hunt it down mate or you can look yourself, it'd be on their Port Adelaide board from memory.

Yes "we're a happy team at Whorethorn":

https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-trade-news-hawthorn-fans-react-to-news-ryan-burton-is-on-the-trade-table-to-secure-chad-wingard/news-story/efb16a382792eac937af4a4c8e52b5c9

It also states in the article that Garry Lyon is endorsing the trade due to Whorethorn's outstanding record on trades and list management, so hopefully that is putting the kiss of death on them.

Yes Whorethorn have traded well to fill gaps during their premiership window, but what they are doing now is trying to build a new core of a team through trading.  Really hope they are being smug overconfident mugs and it blows up in their face in years to come.

Apparently Scully wants to return to Melbourne and join hawthorn.

Appropriate that [censored] wants to play for them.

How the wheel turns.

He left Melbourne as the best thing since sliced bread.

Who would want to play for crappy old Melbourne when you get more money and success at GWS.

He would return to Hawthorn as just another professional footballer plying his trade.

Karma.

No premierships, no medals, just a millionaire!

Very mercenary by him. I would put money on the fact he cannot see a premiership at his fractured and “beloved GWS” so run off to Whorethorn to try and get one before Father Time catches him. Little turd. ? for continued lack of success. Lying to a dying man ?

Says everything about his character. Also the reason your long running thread is still going strong ?

Also there is more sense ( with a little humour ) and less anger at other posters, than the rest of DL.

Laugh all you like. But Scully at Hawthorn is a better chance of a flag than Scully at GWS.

Red, he would call it "constructive lying""

Its regarded by the perpetrator as being okay.

Many do for money and not even for money.

Money is a corrupting force and the clubs and players are part of the corruption.

Its not an industry in which ethical and respectful behaviour is found in spades.

He can call it what he wants.

Not much different to what he said at the airport, that he hadn't committed to GWS yet and was only going up to have a look. Next day a fully professional video came out of him in GWS gear saying he was Giant.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
