Playing hogan in defence would make no sense, before the injury this year he was out number 1 fwd. It also ignores the fact the Tmac would go back if anyone was going to, he would obviously be the superior choice given he has played most of career down there.

Whoever is report on this in media needs to check there sources and there common sense as someone is having them on.

Also ignores the fact I think dees will find a way to get May regardless.

You guys should try mosaic cake. You crush a few packets of any kind of biscuits and then pour over a cooled down sauce made of  butter, melted chocolate powder, eggs, sugar and then put in the freezer to harden. No baking

#13 ICED VOVO

How exactly the pink fondant stays creamy and smooth in the packet is still a mystery. Either way, this icing, jam and coconut combo has our tastebuds singing.

I feel terrible. I didn’t even open the page but just went with hit feel that the Iced vovo had been overlooked.

My apologies.

Peter bell and Fremantle are right on the edge of turning the certain signing of a big fish into yet another missed opportunity all due to a breathtaking level of arrogance.

If this falls through it will not only make Fremantle the laughing stock of the Comp, it will cause huge bad blood between Jesse and freo given freo promised to offer that pick 5 or 6 at the trade table and so far have back flipped on that.

Source Patches?

Again, who says Freo promised this?

Can we have a competition where we nominate the most absurd posts in this thread and then ask Peter Jackson to read out the top ten for Wednesdays podcast?

You also said Freo have gone cold on him and are not interested if I remember correctly. So is he staying or going?

That could be the word Freo feed out to the chooks... to try to make us blink.  But we need a power defender, and Hoges can play back.

On the other hand, they may be trying in concert with our people, to make the Lions cough...  over the Neale deal.

The point is,  its 2 x top 10 picks... or its 'No Deal' X

14/23 is an immaterial difference anyway. It’s the same outcome: the ability to get May, and a draft pick in the range that gives us a reasonable chance to draft a good player. The chance of getting a good player does not reduce very much at all between 14 and 23.

If the other pick was to be involved in an on-trade anyway, then it makes no difference at all if it was 14 or 23.

I think it is.  I've read the top 10-15 are strong this year but then it falls away.  If true then it could be a massive difference if we take it to the draft.

Also, we may want to use a first round pick this year to enable us to trade again next year.

Two potentially enormous ramifications for shaping our list.

Have been watching some highlights of our wins earlier in the year during that 6 game streak , seriously I think some of us forget too easily how good Jesse is and could potentially be next year. The emotional roller coaster of a 300+ trade thread and a positive finals series minus an injured Jesse seems to have diluted perceptions of his worth to the team

If we lose him now the compo will need to be A+ , I’m still hoping that freo have [censored] up this trade and we get to keep him at least for one more year !

Heave ho offering Pick 11 was insulting

That list is trumped up garbage and the author should be ashamed of themselves. Tim Tams are so overrated. Great to see in 2018 we still fall for stupid marketing ploys and when was the last time you had Tim tams with your coffee for god’s sake? Oreos can stick it as well.

Honestly Anzacs and Mint Slice are probably the first good ones on the list, Tee Vee snacks aren’t bad but when I’m on my deathbed it’s safe to say with my last ounce of breath I won’t be uttering the line “I wish I had more Tee Vee snacks”.

Milk arrowroots, found in just about every council office tea room and visitors hall don’t feature until #30? And Scotch Finger my word! Fallen to #18 in the ‘Biscuit Draft’. If my scout/biscuit shopper went into a supermarket and chose Scotch Finger after 17 other biscuits they would be fired.

I like to keep the peace on here but forget it. I’m ready to fight anyone on this, just try me.

Cant believe how little some posters know about biscuits.....

To rate Milk Arrowroots as worthy of being on that list says to me you couldn't pick a biscuit from a cupcake.

Seriously, im losing my faith in Melbourne supporters.

There was a time a man's word was sufficient , or a handshake.

Today CONTRACTS are hardly worth the paper. No one's going to get excited about a nod here...or there.

So true... this is where we arrived at... that the a person's word wasn't good enough, with the law involved...  and now written contracts aren't even worth the price of used toilet tissues.

When will the world start to spin back,,, wards_  or has it started, already ???

Did you watch replays of our 8 games against the top 10 clubs where he kicked a paltry 9 goals, going missing in virtually all of them?

Accurate perceptions are great but only if they actually are accurate.

Well I know this for a fact. But I’ll go with a source you’re more likely to believe. Jay Clark reported it from jesses manager.

Why would you bother chasing a player like Jesse if you didn’t plan on giving up a top 5 pick. I mean they’d have to be amazingly delusional to think we’d just give our most talented player away.

I don't actually think the question of how Hogan goes against top sides has been answered yet. How did Weid go in that period while our midfield, defence and our coaches box were being crushed? He didn't play. But at the end of the year he got the opportunity and stepped up. Hogan never got that opportunity. It's only fair that he be assessed next year properly like Weid was, or not assessed at all.

Way too vague Patches.

Link? Actual quote?

*You don’t give up pick 5 in a superdraft for Hogan ... A) Because you don’t value him that highly or B) You think you can get him on the cheap next year.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
