I know this might sound lame but I reckon it’d be good for the Dees fans to show support for Jesse on his social media accounts. Tell him we’re happy he’s staying a Demon we can’t wait to see what he produces in 2019 (and hopefully beyond).

Time to get creative, to get May in October.

A heavily back ended, or big 2ndYr, or 3rdYr...  in his contract deal.

To be fair look at who else used to run Freo... Schwab

I believe the biggest challenge with May will now be getting a deal done with GC.

Preuss arriving, Weed developing, Hogan staying.

Hogan to CHB as discussed.  No need for May.

Not quite 'feather in cap' worthy Peter, but something has been inserted somewhere!

Looks like it all went balls up when Bell sat in the chair. His first order of business was retaining Neale and looks like he’s sticking to that. They’ve been chasing Jesse for years and Jesse was willing to go, absolute bell bag.

So just for a moment let's suppose Freo aren't the idiot incarnate.

They didn't even rate Hogan at a 1st and 2nd pick.

I must confess I agree..but am very surprised after all their courting they did a runner.

Makes me wonder why ?

Edit... that's exactly where I have Jesse..a first and second rounder

May-be, they are going to the draft again...  without Ross's wishes, long-term.

Or, could it be, they want May ?

Or perhaps another club in-that Wood-Pile, together with Freo...  in all this ???   Has anyone seen E'd lately ???

Don't Freo want Tom Langdon ?

.

Hopefully he stays now, and signs a long term deal in the next week or two.

That would really be a dagger in the Dockers hearts.  What a joke of a club lol

And Neale will be 100 percent on the Freo outlook next year!

Freo Freo Freo.

Perhaps I could be convinced otherwise but right now I feel that Hogan is far too good in the forward line to be thrown back...

Could E'd be helping him, 'CD' ?

Yes maybe but at least Schwab left when they were a top 4 side, Schwab done good things for them, people forget that Schwab was a good CEO, once, then he let the power get to his head.

West Coast Eagles will be sitting back laughing their heads off at Freo.  They know they have a team which will be top 8 for the next 5 odd years, young midfield group.  They can't wait to get their hooks into Hogan as soon as Kennedy is done, Hogan and Darling set up the Eagles for a couple more potential flags.

what is with the fascination of putting Hogan into CHB - does anyone really think the FD would do that?

Personally, I would like to see him play on the half forward flank...

I'm not sure if this has been fully played out but I am sure that we being the public are not privvy to all of the machinations of this saga.

However, if Jess Hogan remains at the club for 2019 then I would hope that there is a concerted effort on the part of the club to retain him for longer than one season and that will depend on the professionalism of the club and its employees which includes the playing group.

On playing ability alone however, we know what he's worth - this is not a good start for Peter Bell and the administration at Fremantle who, based on what I've seen, have conducted themselves deplorably.

Watch Jesse hand Mays ar$e to him next time they play on each other

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
