2017 pick 10 and 2018 pick 15 with some later pick swaps was a bargain for Lever.

The 15 may end up being 16 or 17 depending upon Lycett compo and academy matching

if he wasn't injury prone it would be a bargain*

Brayshaw is in this deal somewhere, and maybe so is Van den Berg.....

Is this guess work, wishful thinking or from some knowledge - don't need sources just to know how much confidence to gain from it.

I think Jessie buggered his leg in his run up kicking for goal........

The Brayshaw part is somehow to do with Gaff staying on and the VDB part is to get picks or players as sweeteners.

And my guesses are like "sands in the hourglass"

Would you rather 10 and 15 in draft?

10 last year was Lachie O'Brien, not that he was what we were going to select.

Page 195, Jesse's height in cm, could be a sign.....

I think future career goals -- 600 -- is what we should aspire to.

Im happy with him, but can't really call him a bargain until he strings together a couple of seasons

This could be the biggest trade deal since POTUS sold his whole family to the IRS......

would love to collect all 3 brayshaws

we had almost a full house of Jacks a few years back

A team of brothers..... I like it

We could get both Kings and with the McDonalds and the Brayshaws we'd  be half way towards a team

Is there not some code that can censor the word free-agent when it appears in the same sentence as Jesse Hogan and 2019?

Hogan will leave as a [censored] is 2019.

Hogan's status as a [censored] in 2019 is a concern.

Fremantle can just wait for Hogan to become a [censored] in 2019.

He was happy to Let Ron go. And Big Bob Johnson just seemed to walk out of the club when we needed him . There he was, starring for East Fremantle and Oakleigh in the 60s when we needed him.

And Stuart Spencer...

Hogan is NOT a free agent next year. If he leaves next year it will be exactly the same circumstances as this year except he could potentially threaten to walk to the draft.

Tom Browne is a [censored] but genuinely on the money

Broke that Gaff was staying about 2 days before it became official

Ok, then Freo can stop perusing him.

Freo have cold feet. it's not no, but it's far from yes.

I know why, but I like my house and don't want to lose it for slander.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
